Herrington on the Bay — Attraction in North Beach

Our experience with Herrington on the Bay was amazing from start to finish! From beginning to end, the entire process was so easy and stress-free and organized. Our wedding was really our dream come true and everything came out exactly the way we envisioned. We chose the Polynesian Garden venue.

Our initial tour with Laura was amazing and the food was so delicious that we knew we wanted to book this venue. Lexy was so kind and responsive the entire process and answered all of our questions promptly. Amber, our day of coordinator was also so kind, patient, and attentive the entire process and especially the day of our wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfect!

We were extremely stressed out with the weather showing rain all week. Amber was very communicative regarding the indoor rain plan. She sent us photos to show us the options beforehand.

Taylor was our rehearsal/ceremony coordinator and she was also really kind. We are so glad we had her because she made sure our rehearsal went smoothly and our ceremony went as planned.

The day of the wedding, we had to make the call of indoor vs outdoor due to the rain coming and both Amber and Taylor helped us make the decision, showing us the weather radar and going through options. Luckily we were able to have our ceremony outside like we planned! (Though the indoor option would have been fine too!)

Herrington is such a beautiful venue that you do not need to add a bunch of extra decor but there are also options to add on to make the venue even more beautiful. We added on the lanterns which made the venue look SO magical! We also added on the lights on the patio which we loved! Guests enjoyed the fire pit.

Our guests raved about: -the food! they said absolute BEST food they have had at a wedding ever! they loved the appetizers and the entrees plus our signature cocktail. we also had late night tater tots plus topping bar which was a hit! -the photo ops! they loved taking photos out on the dock, sunset photos, the ceremony site with the arch. we were so happy guests were able to enjoy the venue and take lots and lots of photos -the venue- they said it was absolutely beautiful. some said they felt like they were in Hawaii with the bay and the palm trees.

The staff during the wedding were also great! The bartender was very nice and the wait staff were great.

The Inn at Herrington Inn is close by and highly recommend staying there as well in conjunction with your wedding at Herrington on the Bay.

They also had a tasting event prior to the wedding where we got to try different appetizer options and dishes and that was extremely helpful in making decisions for our wedding.

Herrington on the Bay is the most incredible venue with the most helpful, supportive, and responsive team. We got married June 25, 2022 in the Herring Bay Garden and had the reception in the Yacht Club. We had a 10 month time frame from booking to our wedding, so we had to move quickly to get everything planned. Marcie and Brittany are an absolute dream to work with - from planning meetings, communication, answering ALL of our questions and inquiries. We had a plan for a tropical glam vibe; we wanted everyone to feel like they were on vacation. Marcie and Brittany worked with the event staff, chefs, bar tenders, and everyone else to help our dream come to life. Most of all, they were genuinely happy for us throughout the process. They made us feel celebrated, loved, and supported in every interaction, meeting, and on the big day. I truly cannot recommend them enough. Our garden attendant, Charlie, was incredible. Charlie was calm, cool, collected, and above and beyond helpful. Charlie fulfilled every request quickly and cheerfully.

The venue itself is almost as incredible as the team. Everyone kept asking “how did you find this place?? This is the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever seen!” The garden is truly picturesque and the Yacht Club is gorgeous. The split level works great to separate areas of the reception. The patio and balcony are beautiful outdoor escapes for guests to enjoy the sunset. When we went to take our sunset pictures, we noticed many of our guests were taking advantage of golden hour overlooking the harbor. There is ample parking across the street from the venue.

It was important to us to find a venue that had catering onsite because we wanted the food to be fresh, hot, and delicious. Herrington went above and beyond to help us get incredible food. For weeks after the wedding, guests remarked to us “I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and this food was beyond the best.” For cocktail hour, we served passed crab dip bites, chicken and waffles (BIG hit!), a dip station, and an arepa bar. We also had a craft beer tasting and pretzel bite station, which our guests loved. For dinner, we served a summery salad followed by chicken and salmon, mushroom risotto, and seasonal vegetables. During dancing, we served passed mini pina coladas, which of course was so much fun!

We cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. They truly take care of everything throughout the planning process and the day of your event. After we booked and told other vendors and folks in the wedding world where we were getting married, they all expressed that Herrington is the best of the best and will ensure the most magical wedding day....

Booking Herrington on the Bay was an absolute dream, and having Lexy as our planner along with Megan as our day-of coordinator made everything completely stress-free and seamless! From the very beginning, Lexy was incredible-always ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure every single detail was thought through. She made planning feel exciting and manageable instead of overwhelming, and her expertise gave us so much confidence leading up to the big day.

Then came the wedding day, and Megan was an absolute rockstar! She was so attentive, organized, and on top of every little thing before we even had to think about it. From coordinating with vendors to keeping the timeline running smoothly, she handled it all with such grace and professionalism.

Herrington on the Bay itself is breathtaking. The grounds are stunning, with lush flower gardens buzzing with butterflies and bees, and the gentle sound of the ocean crashing nearby adds the perfect natural soundtrack to your day. Every corner feels like it was made for a wedding- so romantic, serene, and utterly magical.

The staff at Herrington on the Bay were an absolute joy to be around- they made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Every detail was handled with care, and you could truly feel how much they genuinely care about the couple, the guests, and the day. And the food… WOW. It was absolutely outrageous- hands down the best food you’ll ever have at a wedding. Every bite was incredible, and it added so much to the celebration.
