Gorgeous, easy, groomed trail (Iron Horse Trail, beginning at the snow park) for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, but much better for skiing than snowshoeing. The middle section is prioritized to skate-skiers and the tracks just outside are for parallel cross-country skiers. So snowshoers get a two-foot-wide section on the far outside that (for most of the length of the trail) is on a tilted bank, at the edge of a dropoff, or under the overhang of trees that are shedding snow. Either way, the terrain is flat and well maintained, but the scenery is boring (only occasional glimpses of the lake) and it can get crowded by late morning on nice days.
