The trail was makeshift in some spots but not bad overall! (MAY 2023) There was snow on the Franklin Falls trail still (a LOT of it), but on the Wagon Road trail, there was hardly any snow! The trail does disappear in a few spots but was easily found again! Franklin Falls was FULL and not of people. It was RAPID, so the river filled the basin & left no room for walking near the falls. Very slippery near the falls (down the hill toward the falls) but really pretty. Gorgeous sites all the way through (more on Franklin Falls' trail, but quite a few on Wagon Road Trail. It can be a loop if you do Wagon Trail there & Franklin Falls trail back (that's what we did!) or visa versus.

It's a nice trail if you want to take some visitors to see a waterfall and some PNW scenery and a waterfall. It's very easy and peaceful, despite the I 90 sounds. There's a few big old trees and wetlands plants. Tons of parking! But still go EARLY in summer. You'll need to display a forest service day pass or a NP interagency pass to park free, or pay $5 ahead of time, of at a parking lot kiosk. To avoid seeing the same scenery 2x, go out on Frabklin Falls Trail, nd return on Wagon Road Trail..you can't miss the trail connection. Several vault toilets are available (and clean!)

Franklin falls is a beautiful eaily hiked waterfall in the north bend area of washington. It is part of the snoqualmie river and just stunning to go see up close. Totally worth the visit. About an hour outside Seattle.

Franklin Falls is a good kid friendly hike. A tad of an incline, great views and a beautiful waterfall at the end. But do make sure kids stay on the trail as there are some cliffs along the river. Be sure to help kids down the rocks at the end. Otherwise, a lot of fun and a good...
