I was recommended this place for their lobster rolls from the same person who recommended the place who won my top spot in ct for lobster rolls and that was supreme seafood located in Branford as well. I had my doubts going into the winery, plenty of people there but not one eating a lobster roll. My doubts got worse when I saw the menu and there was no evidence of a lobster roll ever being at this establishment. Legend has it because the chef doesn’t want it on the menu in case they get sub-par lobster, but we tried to ordered anyways, two lobster rolls and a pretzel, and by the grace of god they had it and the order was in! 28 min later and food was at the table. We will start the review with the pretzel and it’s going to be quick to review because it was the best pretzel I have ever had. The lobster rolls came out next. On a wood board with a side of butter, some potato chips, and lemon on the side. I was so glad the lemon was on the side because I don’t like it on a lobster roll and places use it to cover up sub par lobster meat. I digress, first let’s start off with the roll. It was a toasted brioche style roll full of butter flavor and it had absolutely zero SBA (soggy bun action). A absolute 10/10 on the roll, now let’s get to the lobster meat! Fresh as fresh as can be as if captain Frank L himself took his lobster boat out of the coast of Maine, caught 5 of the rarest most delectable lobsters out of the harbor, fired up his propane burner located on the boat, right after returning and docking at the bay, poached that lobster meat, threw it on the freshly toasted bun he had baked that morning and served it to you while still on the boat. I mean this thing was too hot to eat. That in itself is super rare, and I have only seen that a handful of times. I closed my eyes and I smelt the sea air, I heard the seagulls cawing “ca caw ca caw”, I heard the waves crashing, and I felt the salt on my skin! My mouth is watering profusely just thinking about the experience! Yes not a meal a true experience! As i enjoyed each bite depression had sunk in because like a vacation, each bite tasted like a day and it was coming to an end! Between three lobster roll reviewing accounts I only review the best lobster rolls and the worst lobster rolls. With that said this is the new best lobster roll in ct, a must have! This place also captures a real country club aesthetic that’s authentic and enjoyable with prices that are more than fair. I will be back! I will be back soon! And if you like life changing lobster rolls you will be as well!

I love a good vineyard and this one is very quaint and pretty. It has a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. The view of the vineyard is nice but does not have a location that is breathtaking. All in all it’s built nicely and the staff were very accommodating. The part I had an issue with was pricing. The wine is slightly overpriced and the food especially is very much overpriced for what you actually get. We got a cheese and meat plate for $30. It consisted off two cheap meats(about 5 small pieces each) and very small portions of cheese with mustards and bread on the side. It was lacking for the price we paid. I have been to alot of wineries and would make this one of the latter choices on the list to go to again.

Definitely one of our favorite CT wineries. We enjoyed sampling most of the wines made with grapes from California, South Africa and Chile. Rose Vineyards also offers fruit wines from fruit grown on its farm. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to provide information on each of the wines. The tasting room, lounge and outdoor seating areas allow you to enjoy the wine and conversation in a beautiful location. The covered outdoor seating provides shade with a breeze at its hilltop location. The Vineyard also offers some delicious snacks and sandwiches. Rose Vineyard will definitely be a great place to return to again and again.

Planned to come here for my SIL birthday. Their website stated they don’t take reservations and it’s first come, first serve but because we were bringing a larger group of 13 people I thought to call ahead just to make sure that was okay. When I called they said they don’t take reservations but for larger groups they write our name down and keep that in mind. We planned to show up between 11-11:30 (they open at 11) so I didn’t think we would have an issue regardless but just wanted to make sure. They requested I call back the day before just to confirm the number of people so that’s exactly what I did. When I called the lady said let me go check the sheet where we write this down. She came back and said she sees my name on the sheet and I asked if it was okay to add 1 person (from 12 to 13 people) and she said of course. I also spoke about how we wanted the fireplace area with the couches both times and they said they would try their best but it is first come, first serve. Now it’s the day of my SIL birthday, we pick everyone up and arrive at the vineyard at 11:15AM. We knew something was strange when we pulled in and the parking lot was packed. When we walked in, we noticed a large private party in the main dining section. When someone came over to us they said oh well I guess you can sit somewhere over here (the smaller area by the bar). But there was literally no way for 13 of us to sit together comfortably. We drove an hour and a half to come here and I totally understand they need to make their money and I’m sure they make a killing with private events but if someone had told me that when I called either the first or 2nd time, we wouldn’t have come here. I totally get things out of their hands could have happened but I find it odd to rent out the main dining space and not open up one of the other sections to comfortably fit your other visitors (especially when they knew we were coming and I’m sure other larger groups as well). There was a lack of communication even though I was so thorough. I did that so we wouldn’t run into any issues but unfortunately we did anyways. We’ve come here quite a few times but I’m unsure we...

Extremely disappointed lost my business. My husband and I stopped in on Valentine's day with our baby boy and I only made it as far as the bathroom . I came out of the restroom and my husband told me we were asked to leave due to having our son with us, I thought he was joking but he was not the women from behind the bar told him that it was a state law that our child could not be in there because he's not 21. This was a first I have never been turned away from winery before. We have gone to pretty much all the wineries in the state and have never had this issue before. My husband then told me the that they had the audacity to ask us if we wanted to buy a bottle. Will not make that mistake of going to Rose Vineyards again and I have already told others of this horrible experience. Avoid this winery and help support family friendly establishments...
