Branford Art Studio — Local services in Branford

I was looking for an in person art studio for over a year. All I found in my area were ZOOM classes, which became popular during COVID. I finally came across the website of Branford Art Studio, but was hesitant because of the distance and the highway travel. Marc invited me to come to the studio and talk with him, and I immediately liked everything he had to say and everything I saw in the studio. In the few months that I have been attending his sessions I have learned so many new techniques. He is a wonderful teacher and the atmosphere and the other students in the class make it a joy to make the 45 minute drive more than worthwhile. I had only painted with acrylics, but Marc encouraged me to try oils. I was a little hesitant, but was willing to give it a try, and I am so glad I took his advice and encouragement. I absolutely love working with oils. I’ve told Marc that I wish I had found him and his Branford Art Studio when I first started to paint (about 10 years ago), but I am so happy to be learning so much...

Both my sister and my mother have taken classes with Marc, and loved their experiences. During Covid, I decided to take a drawing class with him over Zoom. It was such a great experience, and I really found a love for drawing during that class. Marc has an incredible gift in teaching, instilling confidence, and uncovering inner talents you didn’t realize you had. I took several other classes over Zoom until we finally were able to meet in person, where I took oil and acrylic painting classes. The studio is relaxed, and Marc and the fellow students create a supportive atmosphere. My job has become very demanding and haven’t been able to make the time, but I do hope to take more classes at the studio someday,...
