Rutgers Gardens Via Helyar Woods Trail — Attraction in North Brunswick Township

No sign that the front office was closed but there was none available. Knocked my knuckles off hoping that staff would be well inside.

There was also sign that said check in is must at the front office and so we did not venture on the hike. The total trip ended up a buzz-kill as I was so amped up for this hike in all its fall glory.

It is ok for the staff being absent during post Pandemic but a basic courtesy of a placard on site or updating hours on Google would have been helpful.

Review is not for the trail, but for this map location, "Rutgers Gardens via Helyar Woods Trail", which is actually the location of the Rutgers Office of Continuing Professional Education, which seems to be on the the outer edge of Rutgers Gardens but not near the trail mentioned or any trail (and if it is, there's no indication of it).

A great place to go on a hot day, or really any day. The arboretum and gardens are beautifully kept these days, and the walk through the woods - winding through fields and along the river - is peaceful and wild yet easy to navigate.
