Very nice walking paths on both sides of Green Bay road.

The Eastern half has a nice turtle pond at the beginning. Some elevation changes but all well within wheelchair access. Offers multiple resting areas and benches along the path. Seen 2 turtles, a few squirrels, and plenty of butterflies and birds.

The Western half is much bigger and is mostly flat. Multiple parking areas and options for covered areas for events. Seen 8 deer and a few squirrels over the past two visits.

Overall, the paths and views at both locations are very nice. Solid bridges on both are plenty durable for an ambulance or heavy truck to cross. At sunset there was a ranger that drove around and let everyone know the park was closing soon. That was nice to see. Also, trash cans are located at almost every main path intersection.

I would recommend these locations to anyone looking to get some fresh air and a...

I wasn't too happy when I came here for my walk. There are no markers where there should be. At least twice in my walk I was confused which way to go. I just had to wing it because there was no signs or indicators assisting me. Before I was able to complete one loop I was annoyed and no longer wanted to walk.

BTW... there are 2 different loops for this forest preserve. I looked up the maps online and only one has a downloadable map to it, the one on the west side of the street. That one is 1.3 miles around. The loop that's across the street on the Eastside doesn't have a map of its loop and is 1.8 miles around. It can be viewed online but you would have to increase the size drastically in order to see all of the nooks and...

For a group of 5 and that includes 2 adults, and 3 kids with no bikes we were able to finish this trail in about 30- 45 mins. Nice walk did it on the later time around mid summer. There was a bit of mosquito but nothing crazy as long you always have your spray or light long sleeve. We’ve only done the circle part and not the trails that connect. The thing that I liked about this trail is that at one point you don’t start seeing cars anymore which is nice to get away from it. It’s always sweet when you can find a good getaway just to your clear mind with a...

It's one of my favorite parks to come do something with my boys in bycicle, running or walking, but the only thing that I don't really like is that there is not much security or vigilance. But I love to come to do picnic timE with family and enjoy the view and fresh air from all the trees around this park and nice lake. Hope we have more security to enjoy it more often alone or with family❤️👨‍🦽🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃🌳🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🌲👣🌾🦌🪺🦆🐦🦫🐇🦔🦨🦅🦉🐦‍⬛🐸🌱🍃🍂🍁

Such a peaceful and beautiful area to walk/run on the trails! Its a nice place to see nature and plenty of wildlife! Everyone has been friendly and respectful of our space. There are shelters with tables for a picnic or a get together. There is playground equipment for kids and bathroom facilities. Absolutely love it here!
