As a small local RV Dealership we take pride to our commitment and workmanship we provide for our customers. We do not do a lot of advertising so word of mouth and customers views are what makes us. As I have learned over the years after working my way up the ranks in the RV world at some major RV dealers, be honest and fair and treat people the way you would like to be treated. Having said this I would like to respond to a post from one of our customers. Sorry so long winded but I feel there are always 2 sides to every story and here is mine. Our generator customer called us July 7,2014. She was traveling from Alabama to North Hampton N.H. for the summer to visit family. During our first conversations she had stated that she was traveling with her pets in motor-home, see stated that she was having problems with her diesel generator in her coach and had it just repaired stating that the generator was running rough , stalling and black clouds of smoke still after she had repairs and now generator would not run at all and makes terrible metal grinding noise while trying to start. (she made the comment she did not believe service tech knew what he was doing..... do you see a pattern ?) After further inspection and reviewing previous work orders on generator repair found previous tech as well as customer stated generator had been run without oil and customer had also put Unleaded fuel instead of diesel fuel in one of her fill ups. ( we researched and found small amounts of unleaded fuel would not cause catastrophic engine failure but running without engine oil would) . That day while at dealership we went out to look at generator to find generator oil level was overfilled, and generator would turn over but would make terrible grinding sounds while turning over. We had customer wait as we dropped generator from motorhome for proper diagnosing and to take all of customers information as well as her extended service contract information. Customer mentioned thankfully that we are only a mile or two from her destination and that she would be able to plug into shore power and keep her and her pets cool and happy during her stay. We scheduled generator into our service calender for further inspection and diagnosing and hopefully would find a simple resolution but also realized the potential for major problem. At his point we had contacted customers extended service contract to begin starting claim. (those of you with extended service contracts or who deal with will realize what has to be done to satisfy extended service contract process) During start of diagnostics we contacted Onan to explain what we were finding. Onan recommended that we perform electrical diagnostics of generator and that we should have motorhome as well as generator to perform test. Knowing that it would be hard for customer to bring in coach with her pets to diagnose, we contacted customer and told her of situation and that instead of her having to bring coach back into us we would come to her and remove the wiring and remote harness from her coach and to bring back to our shop and for her to continue on her vacation. She agreed and we went to her location to perform work. We were getting low oil code in generator and found metal shavings in generator oil. We called extended service contract and they requested that we do a full tear down of generator to find issue. We contacted customer and she OK'd us to tear down for further inspection. This now has brought us to July 25 2014. We tore down complete generator to find problem, COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE.Extended service contracted sent appraiser out August 7 ,2014 to review our findings, which he agreed with our findings and authorized engine rebuild. Problem now is parts are 70-90 days away and customer will not wait. We had done everything in our power to satisfy customer not sure what I could have done different. She demanded that we return her generator because she needed to head home.I obliged and had her pay her portion of services provided. Why the...
Read moreWe recently purchased a 2016 Forest River Sunseeker from Ocean Breeze. We were very fortunate to have this wonderful dealership so close to our home. This vehicle seemed to be the perfect layout for my husband and I to safely travel with my 96 year old dad across the country to California to visit our 3 children and grandchild during the pandemic. We found Keith to be very straight forward, knowledgeable, and responsive during the process. He was definitely not a pushy salesman. If we decided to purchase the rig, that was great, but fine if we decided otherwise. We checked out a few more RV’s and found our way back to Ocean Breeze, and completed our purchase in early June. Keith worked very hard to get the rig road ready in time for our planned departure. Peter very patiently took almost 3 hours to review the ins and outs of the RV. He was amazing and so kind. Off we went, crossing the country without a hitch. Just today, our air conditioner was not switching on. We called Peter and he was beyond kind, and talked us through the steps to get us up and running again. Peter is one of the sweetest men we have encountered anywhere. Everyone at Ocean Breeze has been wonderful....Stephanie and Dave, too. We look forward to a long relationship with this competent and...
Read moreI just left on my trip with my new trailer from Ocean Breeze RV, and I am loving this trailer. RV'ing is "labor intensive", and if you are just learning (and there is a LOT to learn), it can be a bit overwhelming, but once you get the hang of it, you get to go and see places you have never been before, and sleep there too:) I have a lot to say, but I don't have time to write about it because if I keep trying to write a big review, it will never get written. I will update this review at another time, so, I will just say that I am loving my new trailer, if you are in the market for an RV I highly, highly recommend purchasing it at Ocean Breeze RV. The staff at OBRV is extremely friendly, professional and they go (MANY) extra miles to make sure the job gets done right and you get the trailer you want. Thank you so much Keith, Dave,...
