Not a lot going on here. The stores they do have ARE good. It's not ran down or anything of the like. It is well maintained. Just facing the fate of malls everywhere. I had minor surgery 6 years ago in their surgery center and went well. ( wasn't thrilled about the idea of surgery in a mall. But it did go well. ) the Giant grocery store is nice. Staples is over priced. Candy store has some good stuff in there. Advanced auto is an ok auto parts store. Staff is helpful. Sam's Smoke/ lottery shop, a goodwill thrift shop (good bargains. More than clothing. Household etc.) There is also a collectible shop. Places to eat here and nearby. ( Chinese in the mall, never ate there. Hoss's outside as well as Mannheim diner, Long John silver's and a burger king that is currently being remodeled.) The parking lot is maintained but watch for speed bumps. You can purchase gasoline here. (If you shop Giant regularly, get their preferred shopper's card. You'll save 10 cents per gallon for every $100 spent in the store and they have multiplier coupons too! Gas isn't bad either. ) it's not a bad mall and they are fighting to keep it going.
You'll find that there are many elderly people here. Not many places for them to go in the area. Please...

Again, this area is being hit hard by ecommerce and a lot of places, like Victoria Secret's and Bath and Body Works, decided that this country is too poor, so when they left the Schuylkill Mall (which is no more), they decided they wouldn't put stores in either of the other two. So, yet again, left a lot of us relying on ecommerce, or driving an hour or more. Kind of the series failures for not deciding to put their stores at a better location, like Fairlane Village or Cressona, which would put them more centrally located and closer to the area of the county that had...
Read moreMost of the openings where stores would be are empty. There are a couple food places, there are a couple of random stores, but most of the mall is barren, empty, and honestly pretty dark. Almost like what you would see in a creepy movie. There's a Goodwill which was the reason my wife and I went there. Otherwise the feel of the mall is somewhere between ghost and derelict while a majority of the store openings are vacant. The brightest thing in the mall is the Goodwill store because it's lit up with a thousand florescent lights... Or at least that what it feels like when compared to the...
