Mount Fuji - Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Steak House — Restaurant in Schuylkill Haven

This happens to be my absolute favorite place to eat sushi....normally. we have had some not so great experiences but understand that it can happen. Tonight was not close to a good experience. Now I understand it was mother's day but wasn't that busy when we got there. We have had better service when the place is packed on a Friday night. about 20 mins after waiting, waitress was at the table in front of us took their order and left .about 25 minutes later she came back to us. Took about 45 mins just to place our drink orders which by that point we just ordered our food. My husband and daughter were done eating and needing boxes by the time my plate of sushi came . We watched the waitress clean off tables and reset them but never came to ask if we needed refills or just to check on us. I watched whatever rolls that were done sit on the counter for at least over 15 minutes. I understand placing them all on one plate but I mean something could have been brought to me so that I could eat w my family.the sushi was delicious so I'll leave it off on a...

The food was okay. The service was 50/50. The waitress was nice at first but as soon as she messed up our order — she gave us a different table’s order, which isn’t a huge deal — it was like she stopped trying. When the hibachi came out, she used that plate to roughly shove all our empty dishes out of the way (which almost knocked over our drinks) instead of just taking away the empty dishes or even just gently moving them. We asked if she could take some of the empty dishes so we’d have more space and she only grabbed the two smallest plates and didn’t even come back for the rest. Trying to get her attention to get a box or the check also took forever and she never took the rest of the plates, which isn’t a huge deal, but we had no space. As for the food, it was okay. The avocado in our California rolls wasn’t fresh though and the rolls completely fell apart any time we’d even try to touch them, but the hibachi was okay. Fried rice was good. Definitely won’t be coming...

Absolutely horrible experience. I’m not a picky person at all, and I’m usually not very outspoken when it comes to restaurant service, but with myself being a waitress I was very disappointed in the service we received. As soon as we walked in and sat down, our waitress ignored us and our questions about the different kinds of food being served. The entire time, the waitress just stared at us from a distance giving rude faces. Then while we were eating, she didn’t give us our drinks and didn’t ask us how the food was. Finally before leaving, we asked if we could have boxes and she didn’t give us any, just rudely stared at us. I couldn’t believe the horrible service. The FOOD was great! Waitress was just horrible. She waited to see what her tip was and wouldn’t stop asking what her tip would be....
