Used the establishment to send a fax. It turned into a $54+ fax! It was a large document and I didn't know they charge nearly $2 a page. Pricing is not posted clearly anywhere. I was quite surprised and upset at the cost. So I called the manager and said I wished your employee would have estimated or told me the price, that seems really expensive for a fax. He was stand-offish right away and said, what tell all customers how much everything costs , "like 25-cents for that copy?". If they want to know they can ask, and I don't have time for that. (I was the only customer in the store with 2 employees). I said, it's just really expensive for a fax, I wish someone would have told me. I would not have spent that much to fax a document. I could ship it overnight cheaper. He said yes I could have! I asked if he could do anything about the price, and I got an earful about how much rent is and that he can't offer discounts, and "You don't know what it takes to be a business person" He went on about being in business for 20 years and things are expensive like toner (faxes don't use toner, except the confirm page) I said, I think a good business person would have given a heads up on the cost and not yell at customers. That made him mad and he continued to yelled at me about rent and the cost of things to the point I hung up. I would NOT recommend...
Read morePredatory business practices in my experience here. I followed the instructions for returning a package to a retail business and was criticized by the older man helping me at this ups location. He told me that what I did was wrong, that he couldn’t scan the barcode due to it being covered in clear plastic tape ( which the return instructions literally told me to do), and that I would have to email him the label in order to get a receipt. The other package I had with me ( taped the same way) scanned no problem. He didn’t offer info as to any additional costs - I had to ask him if there was an extra fee ( 2.00 for the email and .25 to print) which shows a real lack of transparency. What really upsets me is that what he told me was not true- he could have taken the 30-60 seconds of extra time and manually entered the tracking info and printed me a receipt without the additional costs. Trying to squeezing unnecessary fees out of me shows a real lack of integrity. I called the Roseville ups store after I left and was told that he actually didn’t need to reprint anything and that if he had taken the time to enter the number manually on his computer he could have provided me with the receipt. I will never do business here again and am disappointed in the opportunistic behavior I...
Read moreHorrible Customer Service- Old Man is just TERRIBLE!
I've gone there a number of times when I am not near the depot off of 35W. Each time I leave the place saying I'll never go back because the old man consistently is lazy and does not want to do more then he has too. I went in today to drop off a prelabeled package and asked for a receipt and he said I did not need one, I know that but I wanted one anyway. He then replied that I have to wait a while then because he was doing something on the computer, I said come on this will take you 10 seconds to scan and give me a receipt. He gave me that look and a bad attitude and finally came over to scan in my package. What a pain in the arse he was. Not ever had I gone to another UPS store and gotten such a hassle from anyone. This guy needs to grow up and do his job and service the customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@nd Response: You were not busy helping someone, you were being difficult and I am filing a complaint with UPS. You should not be in a customer service business because your store is the worst and it happens all the time when I am there. I will go out of my way from now on and yes I am not more important than anyone else...
