Christian Roberts Salon — Attraction in Norwalk

The salon quickly dropped to one star the longer I was there! I would never take my dog to this type of treatment. Upon entering the salon I was greeted and offered a beverage. The girls working the desk were very professional and friendly. My stylist who I would mention her name, never introduced herself. She was not friendly at all. I think booking her last appointment of the day was a VERY bad idea. I explained I wanted a blunt haircut, I wear it curly mostly days and would like it to fall to my shoulders. She said ok and took me to the washbowl. The lack of conversation about my cut should have been my first red flag. The shampoo smelled amazing and I was interested in buying it, but she told me what she was using when she was rinsing my hair and could not hear her. Next she took me back to the chair and brushed my hair so hard. She had no regard to where my ear was and ripped the brush across it three times. My son is 1.5 years old brushes hair softer than this stylist. She then chopped my hair off to my chin!! My ends are no where close to my shoulders. Next she said she needed to add layers! I was shocked, because I wanted one length, blunt cut at the ends. She completely disregarded everything I said and now I’m stuck paying for extension!!! I would NOT recommend this stylist to anyone. The women at the front desk was extremely rude, stuck up and snarky. She treated me like I was stupid because I asked a simple question about what all of the different types of lash extensions meant because I’ve never had mine done. Came off very judge-mental, her facial expressions said it all. If you want to wear sweat pants to a “relaxing spa” without feeling judged because you didn’t get all preppy first think twice. Because you’ll get dirty looks up and down for it. And lastly, I have brought my toddler with me numerous times and it’s never been an issue until this woman was there. My toddler just sits on my lap quietly well her dad gets his hair cut watching Minnie Mouse on my phone(muted of course). The entire time I was seated the women never mentioned anything about her being with me. And then randomly decides to tell me I have to leave because there’s a “no child policy” because of the spa downstairs that she was by no means disturbing—quietly upstairs. Very very rudely. NEVER going here again. Completely ruined the whole experience didn’t even offer drinks like they normally would. Their massage therapists are FANTASTIC!! If you have never tried a full body massage, this would be a great place to start. If you don't want to go alone do a couples massage and bring a partner! Very relaxing atmosphere. Everything is explained to you when they bring you into the darkened, comfortable room with soothing soft music and the rolling waves of the ocean. So surreal. There are two long and wide massage tables that are covered in sheets, blankets that are heated. A small roll for under your knees. The ladies will ask you if you ever had a massage before and will go over any questions that you have. They will leave the room for about 5mins or so you can get comfortable. They will knock to make sure that you are ready and everything is ok. Very pleasant experience. The ladies use a variety of oils, lotions while massaging.
