We reserved the covered BBQ Picnic area for a birthday party - GREAT location! It was steps away from the playground for the kids to enjoy and the bathroom was probably the cleanest I’ve seen for a public restroom. Park has tennis courts which we were able to go hit some balls. The price for reserving the space was pretty steep, I believe for like 6 hours it was almost $200. Be prepared, there are quite a number of people who walk their UN-LEASHED dogs. There was a near dog (un-leashed) to cat attack where a young girl tried to put herself in the middle. Restrictions should be enforced as there are many children (and adults!) in this area, and last I heard - this is a park, not a dog park.

I am from out of town so I was just walking around looking for a park to hang out at & relax. It’s a nice park with gradual sloping lawns, plenty of trees, park benches & tables, tennis courts, restrooms, playground, & even a little cemetery at the top of the hill. A really nice spot for walking around, relaxing in the shade or sun, & getting a bit of exercise. I’d just be very careful with the lawn area as it’s very uneven probably due to gophers.

I've been visiting this park for years. It's nice bc it's (mostly) sheltered from busy roads, and doesn't get as windy as other areas in Novato. The landscaping is very nice, and well maintained. My only problem with it is the parking lot is tiny. I understand that a big parking lot is an eyesore, but it's ridiculously small, considering the size of the park. Other than that, it's a great park.

One of the few city parks. I wish the users of the park would treat it better and not leave so much garbage, especially on the weekends, and be more considerate when bringing their families to not have music too loud. The weekends are very busy and there is very little parking. The bathrooms are not the cleanest with toilet paper everywhere. The floors are wet many days. The newly resurfaced tennis courts are sadly used by the public for bikes and skateboards. And you'll find gum sticking to the courts frequently. The city had great intentions but should lock the court just like Albert Park in San Rafael does to protect it's investment. Only those who paid for a key can use it. It's a nice park and would be a great park if people would use it...

Great place to bring the kids playground, tennis courts also can teach kids some history old cemetery is in the park on hillside. Also the new play structure is absolutely amazing it is inclusive for all children wider ramp and slides some are really fast but safe the ground is covered with basically memory foam so kids will bounce a little if the fall they did a wonderful job updating the playground but.... since it opened the parking lot and beyond is full everyday all day so there is plenty of kids for your children...
