Gorgeous Park! I can totally see why tourists are told multiple times not to record especially while driving cuz they no like listen. They still do it and I understand why cuz the view is so gorgeous but people stop to do it and everyone behind them suffers. It’s so selfish. Then they wanna try for a viral by pulling over and getting out while blocking other people trying to leave the park. They just don’t get it. This beautiful park is a gift for them to enjoy but they really need to respect the Aina and the Rules so no one gets hurt. Praying that more people will get this and be more mindful of others instead of just thinking of themselves and their happiness. Let us all enjoy it without ruining it for others by listening when they say No Recording By Gate. So many other people have taken the same video for a viral on TikTok. Maybe that’s why it’s being banned. Too much of a liability pusher cuz desperation creates fools. So if you see people, give them space so we all can feel the healing from the land.

Read moreFor those negative reviews, they are BREAKING THE RULES.
They don't ban photography at the park, I used my phone and DSLR full sized professional looking camera on a tripod. They ban photography ON THE ROADS because it's dangerous and obstructs traffic. It's the same for public roads, you can't walk on the H1 taking pics of your sports car or yourself walking down the middle. It's illegal on public roads and private roads can ban the practice. Photography at the lake or campsite IS permitted though with exceptions (like no drones or commercial movie shoots).
Tourists: before leaving bad reviews, read the damn rules. I will update this post with a sign that posts the rules if I'm able to take a pic of it with my phone while following their rules. Respect our home, don't treat our public parks and the staff working their like your personal butlers. If you're rude to a local, they gonna be rude back, they aren't hotel staff they are there to maintain safety and enforce park rules, not to kiss ass for...
Read moreI witnessed an instance of extremely rude behavior upon getting to this entrance. The senior lady responsible for overseeing the entrance raised her voice and yelled at the driver because the vehicle didn't stop at the precise spot she desired. The intensity of her reaction created a hostile atmosphere that left me feeling uneasy. This encounter marked the worst experience since arriving in Honolulu, to the extent that I had to go to great lengths to reassure my family members that this incident wouldn't define the rest of our trip. At one point, we even contemplated leaving the area. It's important to note that she doesn't own the place, and her behavior was both unwarranted...
