This was the worst Chinese food ever. I found a hair in my food and the garlic shrimp was the worst I've ever eaten. It was mushy, overcooked, the sauce was disgusting and made it slimy. The honey chicken was horrible and it had pieces of uncooked flour in it. Everything was mushy and tasted fake. The kung pao chicken had more veggies than chicken and had a slimy, gravy-like sauce, which made everything slimy and soggy. I scooped some on my plate and found only one piece of chicken. The best thing we ordered were the roasted nuts, which came with the meal and the rice was not bad, but I wouldn't eat it again. The service was ok but I asked for something similar to general chicken and she gave me something that was completely different. Overall I would NOT recommend eating here. It was a waste of 45 dollars, and my kids did not want to eat. We never complain about food or service but we don't want anyone else to have the same experience. I thought it would be good from the other reviews but it was the opposite.

Kin Wah Chop Suey offers a mostly fantastic experience, with this visit having mixed results. The minute chicken with cake noodle is definitely the star of the show - absolutely worth the visit! The crispy gau gee, especially when paired with shoyu & hot mustard sauce, is a delightful treat. Downsides include the Mongolian beef, which was disappointingly chewy and mediocre. The chicken with broccoli was decent but lacks the punch of flavor found in the minute chicken dish. On the plus side, the fresh hot tea is a delightful touch that enhances the dining experience. Parking can be a bit challenging, so plan accordingly. Despite some inconsistencies, the standout dishes make this spot worth checking out for Chinese-American cuisine fans. Pro tip: Stick to the minute chicken and cake noodle, and don't miss the crispy gau gee with those amazing dipping sauces!

I was in Hawaii for 30 days and I must have ate here nearly twice a week. I really wish I discovered this place earlier. I am from the Bay area, so I live near Oakland and SF Chinatown. The food here at Kin Wah is far superior than anything I can get back at home. I know it sounds crazy, but Chinese food hasn't been the same for the last 10 years plus here in the Bay area. The Chow Fun at Kin Wah reminds me of my childhood. Hands down the best Chinese food I've had in a while. Top picks: Beef Chow Fun with black bean sauce Dry style, Won ton with Chili Green Onion and Ginger sauce and Peking duck with buns. Prices are very reasonable (especially when you compare to Bay area prices). The Owners and workers are all very nice. I wanted to give a shout out to Lisa and Jay, thank you for creating a great dining experience for me. I will be back next year.

0 stars Kin Wah used to be a delicious gathering place for our family since the 1990s but the quality, quantity, and service have extremely deteriorated over the years. 😭 We've been debating whether to never return to Kin Wah as disappointed with the hassles, yet tried it periodically as we missed how it used to be. Now it's finalized: WE WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! DO NOT GO HERE unless you're willing to be stressed, gaslighted, and bamboozled by rude, stingy, and incompetent staff. We're half-Chinese and it's so embarrassing that Kin Wah is the living definition of the Chinese stereotype "tight wart." As a healthcare provider visiting my family over vacation, I am appalled by the atrocious experiences and mistreatment by Kin Wah staff. We ordered many family-style dishes as usual, but there were endless issues. Typically, we take food pictures but felt sooooo stressed out that we forgot and wish we never came. SEE #7 for the final "nail in the coffin."

Hot & sour soup was missing the shredded meat. Half order of Peking duck with buns and minute chicken cake noodle were both missing green onions/scallions, which are standard ingredients for these dishes and used to be included. We asked the waiter and a coworker for the missing green onions, which they reluctantly provided in tiny amounts, insufficient for the family-sized dishes we ordered. The coworker argued they never included green onions with these dishes (lies) and haven't for a long time.🤨 When the waiter said they were out of fresh chili 🌶️ for the ong choy tofu moi yet would charge the same price for dried chili (despite being less expensive), we clarified we didn't want to order it and had to instruct him to cross it off the order as he kept repeating they didn't have fresh chili and staring at us, dumbfounded. ‍🤷🏻‍♂️ "Spicy" eggplant with pork was NOT SPICY AT ALL! Running out of fresh chili 🌶️ does not justify omitting other spices from our "spicy" eggplant dish. When asked, the waiter brought two meager sauce dishes of chili oil, not enough for everyone. Customers are wrongly being charged more, for less food and missing ingredients. 🙄 The hot & sour soup and spicy eggplant with pork were in smaller dishes than before. The plum sauce container for our half order of Peking duck with buns was also smaller than before and insufficient for the order. We had to get up from our table multiple times to ask workers for napkins, water, tea, etc. as our waiter had not returned in a while. The bill included extra charges for the requested green onions that were already supposed to be included in the two dishes, so we asked the cashiers to remove it; the man seemed confused, then the woman we've seen there for years argued that they never included green onions with these dishes so it's an extra charge. This request escalated into an argument with the woman gaslighting my mom and I, accusing that she told us many times before that green onions were not included yet we still returned. SHE RIPPED UP THE CHECK AND SAID WE DON'T HAVE TO PAY AS LONG AS WE NEVER RETURN!!!* 🤯 As if we'd ever deal with this terrible place again!!! I wish this was on video but you get the picture 🫣😱⚡️

This business is unethical (cheats you out of money by omitting ingredients that normally come with dishes, then charges extra when you request the ingredients), unprofessional (lying, gaslighting), and unworthy of anyone's time, money, nor energy. Unbelievable... We just want to enjoy our family time, food, and relax, but can't at Kin Wah. It's a relief this dilemma is over!...

So we read good reviews about this place so we decided to try it. Didn’t look nice inside but figured we’d try the food. The employees are friendly and very nice. The service was good. No complaints there. By the food was NOT good. I can’t say it was bad either. But definitely had NO flavor. I had the pork chop suey chow mein. No flavor. The pork was cold but the noodles were hot and I guess you’re supposed to mix it together to warm the pork. But either way, it really had no flavor whatsoever. My wife’s plate forget about it! She had the Special Combo A. Think it was noodles, beef, wonton, chicken and other items I don’t recall. The chicken was dry and tough. No flavor. Seemed like it was old chicken. Pretty disappointing to serve that to customers. Kind of offended by that. The wonton had no flavor except it tasted like old grease from the deep fryer. My wife wasn’t happy about it. But we understand sometimes it’s a hit or miss. But to be served 2 flavorless plates wasn’t a good thing. The price seemed about right for what we ordered compared to other restaurants. But the lack of flavor made it not worth it. I would of given it 2 stars based on my plate but since they served that terrible food to my wife I had to give it 1 star. The service was good. Friendly employees and helpful. I just had to leave this review because the food wasn’t good and I think unsuspecting patrons should know what they’re getting. Maybe locals give them good reviews to be friendly. But that’s what lured us into this place. We would of definitely spent our money elsewhere. Sorry to leave the bad review because the employees are very nice but the food just isn’t flavorful at all and my wife was...
