Parking: not too many stalls but cars come/go so you shouldn’t have to wait long. Service: staff very friendly & helpful. Just ask & they’ll direct you to the most excellent choices. Hats off to Jan (from Aiea). Very friendly & wasn’t upset when we wasn’t sure what we wanted to order. Prices: what you can expect at an Okazuya establishment. We easily spent close to $100 because we wanted to try everything. COVID practices: decals on floor to remind you to stay 6 ft apart. There’s hand sanitizers & everyone wears a mask. Food: poke bowl was a winner along with all the sushi & spam musubi we purchased. Tried the fried chicken, California rolls, teri hamburger, ahi patty, tempuras, undagi & a whole lot more. Wasn’t disappointed - everything was great. Overall - 👍 We’ll be back when we’re visiting this side...
Read moreFood is good… that is if you can get it. Obsessed with their California rolls! As other reviews have said, you have to get there early or everything sells out. You also have to catch them when they’re randomly open. Giving 3 stars due to the lack of dependability in their business hours. The intermittent closures are FAR too frequent.. every time I make the effort to come out the place is closed (it’s happened about 5 times). Closed January 5th-10th is the latest.
UPDATE: lessened from 3 to 2 stars. Now they’re closed through the 12th. I’ve watched 4 people walk up and turnaround while editing my review. I understand things happen but you’d think a company in business this long would have it more together. Another lunch...
Read morePretty standard, local, okazuya. Not many on the windward. It decent, my baseline for okazuya. Yakisoba is light on vegetables and meat. Fried chicken was slightly dry, but everything else is tasty. My go-to is the chicken katsu, nishime and seaweed wraps. The maki rolls are alright, so I usually don't get it. Service is pretty typical, since there are many people ordering. You have to order quickly, but they aren't rushing you. The environment just feels that way. Service is friendly. I wish you can sit down, like it was before covid. However, no place to sit so you have to take out only. Kind of lame, since most places allow sitting inside again. We got 3 plates, somen, and maki for about $65, it's not bad for the...
