In all, honestly, the best views are on the first part of the trail. The tail end is more challenging and a workout than anything. So if you're going solely for a mental and physical challenge, this is the hike for you or views. I would recommend another trail. At the beginning you are rewarded with views of the ocean and close by Bay before you start trucking through the woods of Hawaii. Most of it is through brush and trees, so watch your footing as the leaves. Hide many dangers underneath of them so you don't want to roll your ankles. Towards the top the elevation really gets steep and you are hiking along the Ridgeline while you don't have to do any climbing you may have to use some ropes that are there to help you along the way. Once you get to the top, tell Becca views of the city on the other side of the Ridgeline but Nothing to write home about. The way down is a little bit more difficult as you really have to watch your step and the leaves can get slippery. Like I said at this trellis more for a workout and from my exercise perspective I give it five stars, for the views I give it three.

A short semi-vertical trail of easy/medium difficulty. I would suggest not bringing toddlers to this trail because there are some sections where the trail is very narrow against the mountain, however its definitely doable. Be sure to follow the pink ribbons along the trail as there are many offshoots off the path. Otherwise, this is a beautiful jungle trail. We didnt wee anyone else there the whole hour we were on the trail.

This is a short in-and-out trail (0.3 miles one-way) that leads to a nice viewpoint; it is great for getting an impression of the local flora. It starts as a wide trail that you could drive, but then changes it’s character completely to a small footpath, with some fallen trees that need climbing. The last part is traversing a steep hillside - do not try it when it’s muddy!
