Waimanalo Beach — Attraction in Oʻahu

Waimanalo Beach is absolutely stunning—long stretches of soft white sand, turquoise water, and plenty of space to spread out. Compared to other beaches on Oʻahu, it feels more peaceful and less crowded, with a strong local vibe.

It’s a great place for walking along the shore, relaxing under the ironwood trees, or simply enjoying the incredible views of the Koʻolau mountains in the background. The water can sometimes get a bit strong depending on the conditions, so it’s good to stay mindful if you plan to swim.

Parking was fairly easy when we visited, and the park has basic facilities. What really stood out to me was the calm atmosphere—you feel like you’re away from the busy tourist areas and can just enjoy the beauty of nature.

"Waimanalo beach" will always be SHERWOODS to us out here. This beach is one of the best places to be on Oahu. I was in a... program... for about 4 months a couple of years ago and we would make a day trip there every wednesday. Such a gorgeous spot. Fine white sand, Crystal clear water, massive shade trees, soft breeze, manageable waves and current, clean and well maintained bathrooms, manicured lawns, picnic tables, ample parking and literally MILES of beach. No stores or restaurants close tho. Bring a cooler. Awesome spot....

Beautiful beach, only big waves at the time of my visit. The views from the beach are beautiful. Fine sand that cannot be removed. The beach is in a residential area, parking in the surrounding streets, I didn't think it was dangerous to leave the car there. The beach is not crowded. Mostly...
