Everything pictured was found at the beach. This was after covering about 20ft^2 for about an hour or two. I went with my family for fun, but saw so much plastic covering the beach and it made me so sad. In addition to the plastic, there were a lot of Portuguese man-of-war in the waters, though not as much as usual so that was good. The bathrooms are dirty and the outside of the beach was lined with a homeless camp. I was really uncomfortable using the bathroom because of how poorly people took care of it. Despite this, I had so much fun. This is a place to make memories and to have a nice time. The waters were clear, and I definitely recommend it if you know how to handle man-of-war and are ok with getting stung once or twice.

Because of the great time I had taking care of the aina and enjoying the waves and its sentimental value to me, I give Waimanalo Beach four stars despite all the things that make it a terrible...

Plenty of sand, decent waves 2-3 ft faces, sun was out and a light breeze coming from the NE. Perfect.

Known to locals as Sherwood Forest or simply Sherwood's.

Clean white sand with a great shore break, perfect for body boarding. Space to spread out (read social distance) on an early August Sunday, surprisingly. Lifeguards patrols in the water and on the sand. No lifeguard stands though.

Bathrooms and showers available, but wear your slippers, because it's kinda gross. Parking was tight, but we didn't need to wait for a space or walk too far.

The drive from town was bumper to bumper, and there isn't much in Waimanalo town, so grab your supplies before...

Best beach on the island. We visited around 15 beaches while here and this was the best equip for a day trip and softest sand (no rocks!) with rolling waves. Good for swimming and body surfing/boogie boarding. They have showers and bathrooms, picnic tables, grassy and shaded areas. Plenty of parking, some people pull up on grass to the beach to set up their pop up tents for grilling, etc. The beach was busy, but not crowded. Lifeguards on duty. Few man-o-war (check full moon schedule to see best time to...

This is our favorite beach. It is rarely crowded and it avoids the insanity of Waikiki. Plus, the view is amazing!
