Usually a chill beach. I typically will take my dogs and sit on the beach and use the chuck it to play fetch. Never had an issue before. Went today and had 5 dogs. 3 on leashes two without as I trust them and we were just walking to the beach. Some worker in a truck followed us around and harassed us until we left. Can’t even let my dog run on the beach supervised without some ahole ruining it. Don’t go in the morning if you want peace. Never been bothered before until going in the morning. Would not recommend. Parks and rec workers are the worst out here. Please give them more to do if they have nothing better than follow people around in a truck on the beach when there are literally three...
Read moreThis is just down the beach from Bellows. Great surf for boogie boarding. There was about 6 other cars in the parking lot when we got there. It has bathrooms and showers. People have mentioned plastic in the sand but it was very small and didn’t bother me at all. There is shady areas in the trees if you want to stay out of the sun. Some of the waves can knock you down and the current can pull you if you’re not careful. Nothing dangerous but you can get hammered by the waves if you’re caught off guard. Read moreLove this spot tucked between Waimanalo beach and Bellows. Parking does fill up on weekends but is more plentiful than Waimanalo Beach Park.
Theres two bath houses each with a shower, maybe three but I didn’t walk down far enough to know for sure.
There are lifeguard stands. Great for boogie boarding. Shorebreak can be too much for littles or quite perfect. Check the conditions first and don’t assume anything.
