During our vacation in the Oakland area, my family and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Oakland California Temple and its adjacent Visitors Center. We spent a significant amount of time at the Visitors Center, where we found a wealth of information about the temple's history and significance. The center's exhibits and displays were informative and engaging, providing valuable insights into the beliefs and practices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our experience at the Oakland California Temple and its Visitors Center was a remarkable and spiritually enriching journey. The beautiful surroundings, the captivating man-made stream, and the informative Visitors Center all contributed to a meaningful visit. It's a place that offers solace, reflection, and a chance to connect with faith, even for those who don't enter the temple itself. If you're in the Oakland area, I highly recommend taking the time to explore this sacred and inspiring destination.

The Oakland Temple Visitor center was one of the highlights of our tip to the Bay Area. After leaving San Fransisco and the filth, homeless, and drugs we stopped here. The cleanliness and beauty of the grounds provided a stark contrast to the city. The view from the grounds was awesome. We were able to see both the bay bridge and the golden gate from here. The missionaries were super friendly. We watched a presentation on families and how important they are. It was very touching. I would recommend anyone wanting to rise above the chose of the world to visit this place!

This is a great place to bring visiting friends and family for a facinating and uplifting at- your-own-pace experience. when covid restrictions are lifted and folks can go inside. The visitors' center is peaceful and welcoming with interactive displays which center on Jesus Christ and his role in our lives. Visitors may view videos, or ask questions of missionary guides or just stroll through the various rooms on their own. It is an informative and engaging place to learn about the Churc of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Year round, enjoy the beautifullly landscaped temple grounds . Take pictures Visitors may also tour the gardens on the roof of the temple to take in the magnificent view of the East Bay over to SanFrancisco. Plentiful parking. . Building and grounds are wheel chair accessible. Guides are multilingual. Everything is free.Allow at least an hour. Gounds are open 9am to 9pm. CHECK templehillevents.com for the few days of closure during the year and for calendar of...
