Went there and nicely said hello, asked about the honey he was selling on the shelf behind him.

Bro had an attitude. But told me the prices, while making sure to be as slow and groaning as possible and giving me a dirty look. Not to mention that this old lady and old man, who I assume also run the store, decided to swarm me as soon as I entered. I saw her approach me and smiled and said hi, she gave a cold dead stare.

And you can imagine the awkwardness of the old man and old lady deciding to damn near group hug me with how close they got to me, basically staring me down with a glare and staring at the whole interaction.

You need 3 people for a skinny black chick who's simply inquiring about the price of honey jars? Tasteless.

Not fun as a black woman to get swarmed in a store the second you step in. Oh, nevermind the diamonds and peacoat, just treat me like a criminal off the bat. Very weird and rude. I see why I never came into their sticky and dark shop before, it's got a bad energy.

The owner of this store is one of the kindest, most genuine, in most caring shopkeepers that I have ever met. I had food poisoning one day, and before I realized what was wrong I was walking my dog and felt like I was going to pass out. The shopkeeper was outside and saw me walking past, he had me come inside and gave me something to help me feel better.
