A Dimond in the ruff, is exactly what Dimond Cafe is! This quaint modest cafe, in the Dimond district is not to be missed. The food, especially their rendition of the egg McMuffin, is one of the best I've had. Let's talk about spinach mixed in the hand cracked egg, topped with a delicious clean slice of Swiss cheese, tomato, generous fresh avocado, seasoned to perfection, all between a nicely crisped English muffin. Yum yum! With hella good prices! In addition to the great food, it's a wonderful customer experience, Paul and his team are nothing short of customer passionate individuals, who love their community. Mom and Pop vibes with very quaint (but clean) area to eat. We live in the neighborhood and are really happy we decided to try this place out. The owners/workers speak Spanish and English and they always chat in Spanish with some customers which is sweet. We have only been here a few times but everytime we come there is at least one "regular" who comes in and the person behind the counter remembers their order and asks them if they want "the usual?" It's really that community vibe I wish we had even more of in diamond district. Plus the food is really tasty. If you order something with bacon or avocado in it- the ingredients are generous...

I liked this place. Great place for breakfast or specialty coffee. Tried it before a conference in the area one morning. Small hole in the wall that i didn't know existed until i parked in front of it and decided to try something local instead of Starbucks. I tried a sausage egg sandwich and it was freshly cooked, very tasty, big, and filling.

Also got a mocha, which is one of my standards at Starbucks. I think I liked this one better.
