I have been coming here for years with no problems up until yesterday. They had an item with a yellow sticker for $3. On the outside of the item with the yellow sticker the item price for $3 and the name of the item. Inside the item was a tag for $8. The $8 tag look like it was loose as if someone took an $8 tag off something else and put it inside the item. The cashier was confused on what to do and had to get the female manager to let her know what to sell it for. Obviously the one with the yellow sticker with the name of the item on it for $3 would be the correct price to sell it for but the manager said $8. I'm not trying to fight over $5 but you could obviously tell the manager did not want to sell something like that for $3 and figured I go in there a lot that they can weasel another $5 out of me. To me it's not about the little amount of money difference it's just the principle of the fact that, Everything is donated You could tell that the yellow sticker on top of the item was the actual price because it had what the item was written underneath the price thing the $8 tag just had $8 but nothing else written on it of what it was so it was clearly put in the item from some other item and had nothing to do with the item I was going to buy. It is truly messed up to do that to customers who have been coming for years to try to get more money out of them because of some either negligent customer or volunteer putting a different tag inside the item and then making a customer pay more money because of negligence or stupidity on someone else's behalf. I told them no thank you and you could see it was not the answer they were looking for but I don't care I won't be back because that is poor practice. Unfortunately I never thought I would have to result in leaving this thrift shop a ⭐ waiting as I always had a good time finding stuff...
Read moreI am a volunteer at the Thrift Shop and I love working with the women here. We have awesome bargains and some nostalgia pieces too. We never know what we will find upon opening a donation from our community neighbors. We never put out any clothing that is ripped, stained, or buttons that are missing. No broken china, pottery, or figurines. We love our regular peeps that come in and know some by name. It is a happy and fun place to work and shop. Now we are raising money for an MRI machine for Hackensack Meridian Medical Center (SOCH). We...
