Harvest Buffet — Restaurant in Ocean Township

I wouldn't suggest going there after 7pm during the winter, food was not replenished it was a Friday night, not that dead but still were not putting new food out what was out was old, totally shocked, I usually only go occasionally in the summer and I think I'll stick with that, I don't want to wait 20+ minutes to be seated during the dinner rush but if I'm going to still be paying full price on a Friday night at 7:30pm everyone didn't show up until 7:45 ish but even at 7:30 when might I add they don't even close until 10:30 pm on a Friday we expected there to be more than only half the usual food out and for that food to not be gross, looking like it's been sitting out, by 8:30 ish when we were about to leave, some of our friends were eating ice cream because that was about the only thing they could get, there were hardly any deserts left out at all, they started taking the sugars/soy sauces off the tables and were so impatient they couldn't wait 5-10 minutes for us to leave before clearing our table that was in the particular section of the restaurant they were closing off, we figured if they were open until 10:30 there would still be fresh food between 7:30-8:30... wrong.. My family of 3 goes quite frequently. The food is normally always pretty good or somewhat decent never had a bad experience food wise. The tall older waitress we would almost always try to ask for her. I have a 3 yo and she had always made it a point through out his little life to make him smile. The service the last 3 times we have went and not gotten her as a waitress has been utterly horrible. With having a toddler we always ask for a both to keep him contained as to he does not like boosters or a high chair let alone sit in an actual chair.The last 3 staff members have disregarded our request and then would get mad when we would kindly ask again for a both. The wait staff walks around on the phone via airpods constantly. Some will barely refill your drink even if you ask and they will barely take plates that are piling over. Now not all are like this but some are. They will all however demand a tip at the end of your experience.

Mostly, I enjoy the hibachi made-to-order table, which did not disappoint. The chef was too loud with his utensils whole cooking and that persosted throught my visit. Clang chang clang clang - fast, furious and way too loud in my opinion - the only resl cimplaint I'd express should be considered as such.

The buffet selections were quite appealing, and everything served was hot and fresh. Of course, I can't review each item, but selection, cleanliness, and quantity were good - nothing out of the ordinary except meatloaf. I had great sushi rolls fresh and just so lovely presentation-wise and stocked full. No sushi, selections offered, however, on my visit.

Appreciated the soft-serve ice cream in addition to the 6 l hard packed freezer choices- inducing PISTACHIO, my fave! Only there were no sugar waffle cones, only small-ish classic waffle cones.

Nice place for all-you-can eat at reasonable cost and quite besitiful decor...
