Hooks Creek Lake — Attraction in Old Bridge Township

Terrible biting sand flies that leave dozens of itchy bumps for days that are easily infected! I visited with my small child on August 6,2021, the area was nice and peaceful but the sand flies are the worst I've ever experienced! Went with my boyfriend yesterday worst experience ever. I have been here many times and it’s a beautiful lake with nice views but no one told us the lake was closed for swimming but the worst part was the mosquitoes.
