Staff was incredibly rude and had no problems ruining a 4 year olds birthday. We called over a month ago to set up a birthday package for my son, literally asking for this very thing and what to do to set it up, and we were told nothing about having to put a deposit down or whom to speak to, ANYTHING. We explained what we wanted to do and all we were told are the hours of open play before close and prep for league play. Having planned children's birthdays before we assumed we would need to at least reserve a time or make a deposit or something. Having been told nothing about this, dispite out very clear intentions, we went with it and came in today, 3/27/22, for my son's small get together.
As we were bringing in presents, we were scolded my the woman working with long blonde hair telling us as we brought a box of presents in "that's not a cake is it? There's no outside food allowed". Obviously we were confused, so I went to talk to her about events up to this point. The blonde woman very rudely stated that we didn't place a deposit and there's nothing reserved, obviously because when we called and asked about this very thing we were never given any instructions to do so, and her response was an incredibly loud and rude "well, you didn't. Otherwise there wouldn't be a problem. Maybe you should have called when April is here, she's the one that sets these things up". How in the world am I supposed to have known what I should have done, who I should have talked to, when never being told to do so after freaking trying to do this very thing well in advance?! She continued to glare at me until I left the front counter to be with my family. Afterwards she had no problem swinging her self righteous weight around hovering over our lane making my children very uncomfortable.
I'm never that person that likes to complain, even when it's warrented. I even clean up my own tables before leaving restaurants after eating. But after this encounter with the heavy set blonde wearing crocs, very professional by the way, and the kid that looks like he's 12 behind the counter, it took every ounce of me to not take the last of my son's birthday cake, which we had to eat in the parking lot since we couldn't inside, and just chuck it at her face.
Needless to say, we won't be back. Thanks for ruining a 4 year olds birthday. Very cool. I HIGHLY encourage the staff to get off their phones while working and take some customer service training, cus it's garbage right now. Also check your parking lot more often. Had we not been forced to have my son's birthday cake in the parking lot I doubt anyone would have seen the used needles in the parking stalls. Thankfully I work in the medical field and do keep a first aid kit with a sharps container in my vehicle. I picked them up for you so some other small child doesn't have to have another horrible experience at your business....
Read moreI usually don't write reviews but this place really upset my family on a very hard day for us. Yesterday was my father's birthday and he passed last year. He loved to bowl so we thought it would be a good way to distract ourselves. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with hard glares. At first I thought the adults on the lanes were just guest and rude. But the cashier was so short and wouldn't look us in the face. She acted like she didn't want us there. There was 6 of us and we got there at 3:30. Plenty of time for a couple games if we had two lanes. Mind you the whole place was empty except this group at the first two lanes (the ones who glared the most when we walked in) she wouldn't let us have two lanes, whatever we let it go and went to our lane. Any time ordering food or drinks she was the same way. Seemed like she hated her job and didn't want us there. I would of just assumed this, if she wasnt so nice to the other people in the first lanes and again to an obvious regular. She was clearly only rude to us. We were done at 4:30, plenty of time before thier league got there. Turns out that first two lanes where a training class....so it seems this places only likes thier leagues and classes. If your a family trying to just have fun, not at the 9-mid because you have a toddler, this is not the place. Go to Westside lanes. Way more welcoming. How rude to be so judgemental of my family because we are a little different looking with colored haired and tattoos. Or maybe it was all our red eyes....from crying all morning from the loss of our father and father of her children. And than to only be nice when our mother was paying for it all....very classy. We still enjoyed eachothers company and celebrated him the best we could. But if he was there, you would of heard from him right than. If you make enough money of your league and classes, than put that on the door and dont let other people be...
Read moreThis is by far one of the cleanest and coziest bowling alley's I have ever been too. There are only 12 lanes. The computer is touch screen and the overhead display allows for full names instead of 3 letters. The couches are very comfortable and the chairs are as well. The parking lot in front is terrible to park in and the slot at the end closest to the crossroad blocks your view going out on to the main road. The parking in the rear is a gravel lot with concrete parking blocks to mark spaces, there are pot holes in both lots. The food is good with decent concession prices, but if you use a card it is a 5 dollar minimum. It cost 4 dollars per game, and 3 dollars per shoe rental. They have a vending machine for socks and wraps and stuff. The reason I don't give this place a 5 is the service. Almost every time I have gone here they are doing a tournament that was not on the schedule. Today it was due to the west side lanes being closed from power outage. The guy behind the counter was very rude about it and made no mention of the tournament, just "It says at the bottom of the website, call for lane availability". True, it does say open bowling at 6 pm, and it does say that at the bottom of the website(which could use a bit better formatting and coding), but the way a business handles changes like that and customer interactions can make or break an experience. The way the employees act and talk is very lacking in good customer service. Excellent facility, not excellent...
