The one star is for our server who was amazing (Zoie). However, we went here for the first time and only time. While talking to my 7yr old grandson a server came from behind me,knelt on my purse, reach behind him and grab my three-year-old granddaughter's hand. Saying don't tamp on the glass at which point I asked my 3year old granddaughter to sit down. She had only been up there for a minute as grandpa had been playing with her. Then she left. I was furious that she had the audacity to touch my child. Then we got our food had ordered the eggs. Benedict which were on special. I ordered the salmon Benedict. Although the salmon was great my eggs were overhard and the sauce was broken. My husband ordered eggs Benedict his sause was broken my granddaughter's eggs were over easy when she asked for a runny yoke only and grandsons pancakes were not done in the middle. At this point we just wanted to go. When our waitress came over, I told her I was upset about the situation and wanted to talk to the manager. About someone touching my granddaughter. The server that touched my granddaughter happened to have been the manager at which time she tried to argue with me. Tell me she didn't touch my granddaughter or reach over my Grandson the whole time grabbing my arm at which point I told her to stop touching me. Don't put your hands-on my children again and please go away. I'm not going to argue with you about this. I won't be back and if you don't want your children assaulted. I suggest you don't go here. When I got home looking at my receipt and the $63 I paid for food to begin with. Yes, they took off my 1/3 eaten meal. However, I was charged for open food. 99 cents open food 50 cents and a credit card charge. 1 was not told about the 96 cents. What a terrible way to take money from people. No one got anything extra to be charged 99 cents or...
Read moreSo I went this morning for my first time visit to this diner. I brought in an iced Americano coffee and sat down. It was pretty busy and the place has good reviews, so I was eager to try it.
Well, a waitress came over to me as soon as I sat down and without even greeting me, with a frown, she said, "we frown upon bringing drinks in." I said, "excuse me?" and she repeated herself with that frown.
I said ok, and picked up my coffee and started walking back toward my car outside because she did not even greet me or nothing. Instead she came over to state rules in an unfriendly tone of voice and frankly a bit rude. As I was leaving she said that it was ok this time, still frowning.
After returning to my car and putting my coffee away, I returned inside the diner and sat in a new seat away from the rude waitress. The new waitress greeted me, smiled and was corteous. After looking at the menu, browisng the interior setting, and still feeling a bit frustrated with the frowny one, I decided to just do fried eggs over-medium, hashbrowns, sausage patties, and sourdough toast.
The food came out quick and eggs were cooked right, hasbrowns were a little crisp, and the sausage links were fine, though I did say patties, not links. Taste of everything was bland and the place looks like it was built many decades ago because it is pretty dirty inside, even the table still after I asked it to be cleaned yet it wasn't. Look at ceiling too, it definitely needs remodeling.
Last thing is the pull tabs, the only thing worth the trip. They are just like tickets you buy and pull open the tab to see if you win. Prizes are currency and it was fun.
Overall, improve your customer service and food because it is so bad that I got severe stomach problems 1 hour...
Read moreFirst of all, I am not giving this diner 2 stars because of their food; everyone enjoyed the meal, although my turkey pot pie was REALLY peppery.
I took my mother in law and daughter there last night (11-21-15) for dinner after a girls afternoon together. We are done eating, the waitress gives me the bill, I hand her my Discover card, she takes it and here is where the unbelievable BS starts. 1) the ladies next to me asked if they could see the design on my card, she showed them without covering my account (okay, I did not say anything) 2) she comes back to my table about 7-8 min later with a refund receipt stating that they do not take that card- I looked at my m-i-law perplexed- so when she finally came back I obviously asked "if you don't accept it, than how could it have gotten through and then refunded?" She asked her manger who replied that this company charges too much money- Well I did not have any other cards, my m-i-law gave her card over before I could say anything. I asked to speak with the manager because then the waitress came back with a bill for a different amount and my m-i-laws bill was different- This cluster took about 30 minutes total. I asked the waitress how they could deny my card when there are no decals ANYWHERE or on menu of what they accept- all she could do is agree with me. I was so embarrassed that I did not want to make a big deal in front of them. I called when I got home, left a voicemail, never received a call back. Besides my waitress being nice, she should not handle money, her and the manager suck at helping out...
