After reading the reviews and looking at the website, my husband and I thought that mini golf and a rock climbing wall sounded like a super fun date. Out of the courses we'd viewed around town, this one sounded like a lot of fun. We tried the "Adventure Course" and the only thing really adventuresom (and actually really annoying) is that NO PART of the course was flat. If you didn't get it in the hole, it basically came right back to the beginning. Only 3 of the holes had any really redeeming "adventure" to them. We paid almost $15 between the two of us and were bored enough to leave after the 12th hole. We went after dark, and the rock wall only had one spot light out on it, so we opted not to be left out for dead. After golfing, we both went into the restrooms to wash our hands and the women's restroom was in dire need of a cleaning. There was TP all over the floor, the little "personal disposal" wastebasket in the stall I was in was overflowing. The teenagers working there were too busy flirting and carrying on to notice us and greet us or say goodbye. Overall, a very negative experience. Will not...
Read moreDanger, please beware! They have HOLES all over around the course and I am not talking about the holes you are trying to hit the ball into! They have large holes in the grass and walking areas and I actually stepped in one! I sprained my ankle so bad that for the last week now it has been 4 times the normal size. I informed Boulder Creek about this, but they did not ask how I was, if I needed medical treatment or is there anything they can do. They said they would have their "grounds boy" take a look at it. I tried to tell them the hole I fell in was not the only one I seen that there were many. You can tell they just do not care and they do not staff well for this location. On a Friday night they had one girl working by herself taking care of everything. She was nice and probably needs a raise for everything she was handling. This place needs to be cleaned up and actually have someone care for it then it might be ok. Seems like they are letting it go way down hill and you could tell by how they handled this situation that they do not care it is happening right...
Read moreBoulder Creek Amusement Park is less “park” and more “archaeological dig site.” The signs promising “new greens this week” have clearly been here since the Clinton administration, and the batting cages are closed due to “storm damage.” (Sure—if by storm they mean a prehistoric pterodactyl attack.)
It’s definitely no Prehistoric Putt—though it is on the verge of extinction. The turf is tired, the vibe is chaotic, and at one point the (owner? manager?) was casually using a heat gun to re-laminate the countertop like it was just part of the show. Truly, all amusement, no park.
But here’s the thing: it’s cheap, you can play as long as you want, and we laughed so hard we nearly fell into the water hazards. So while the greens may be extinct, our fun was very much alive.
Would 100% recommend if you enjoy affordable chaos, prehistoric vibes, and the thrill of wondering whether the turf will affect your ball trajectory or your...
