Logistically booking and website proved to be very user friendly! A card is needed upon booking an appointment, and isn’t charged until service is completed! Parking is your standard strip mall parking, no problem there.

Upon the initial visit and being newer to the Omaha area, I was unsure about what i would find at this Ralston location. I was pleasantly greeted by the owner and jr piercer. This studio/shop was bright and unique, lobby area was well kept, clean and just a neat little space. I arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early to allow enough time to complete paperwork and be settled in. Make sure to bring form of ID! Paperwork was not too hefty and easily laid out, (I didn’t feel like I was having to read through a bunch of legal jargon in tiny font). Only room for feedback would be to maybe make this an online form to be completed at the studio, that was a digital copy can be shared to the client and eco friendly (yay).

The owner (solid handshake) was my piercer and let me know that he would perform the service and have his jr piercer observe and assist.

One of my favorite parts was the display, it’s not your typical” jewelry store esque” display with hundreds of tiny pieces with minuscule differences where your mind honestly cannot interpret which ones you actually like and be able to distinguish the difference! The selection is curated and trendy without crossing over into that “viral” or “fad” territory. These timeless pieces are very beautiful and I was pleased to hear that he (not sure on pronouns, apologies) sources from different artists who make this jewelry! Makes me feel way better than buying from amazon. He took the time to explain different price points and had me hold the item to see for myself what would work for me.

Once jewelry was picked out, he went over total cost of service and jewelry and once we agreed on everything we went to the piercing room(? Not sure if that was the title) and he explained the process and we got some tunes going!

Just through conversation about the process, I knew I was in good hands! Everything was clean!! Cannot emphasize this enough!!! The extra sparkle on top of this whole experience was that although I’m just a small little workout girly I didn’t feel out of place at all. The staff here care about what they do and who they’re working with! Pricing at first seemed high for me, but I am not someone who is a regular at a piercing parlor and the last time I did this was college 6 years ago and times(and prices) have changed!

Finding a new go-to piercing shop isn't easy. Ever since I left Colorado, it's been difficult for me to commit to new piercers & artists. My checklist also has many boxes, so, one could say I'm quite "picky". I want to make sure I feel safe and comfy. I want plenty of real gold jewelry options, but dainty ones. And I want to support people who listen, understand, and care about what I'm requesting & know how to properly handle emergencies.

When I called the shop to get more information, Kyle answered and let me know how to set up an appointment, and gave me a thorough but not overwhelming summary of what to expect on the day of my arrival.

This is my first Omaha piercing experience. I chose Sushi Balloon because I resonated with their website and the phone call with Kyle reassured me they are safe and passionate piercing professionals.

Today was my appointment and I loved the whole vibe of this shop! They are friendly, personable, professional, and accommodating - I made the right choice! The entire process went smooth, and I felt right at home.

Abi the apprentice was my piercer. She's awesome! And I got a $30 discount due to being pierced by her which was rad. 😎 Kyle helped with placement and positioning, and I really appreciate his attention to detail. Process was seamless: inhale, then exhale with the needle. I got a little woozy so they gave me a cup of water, a sucker, and 2 stickers afterwards!! :3

At the end, I got a sheet with my jewelry measurements (god bless you bc I be forgetting my jewelry sizes). Pricing is a little steep but I genuinely believe every penny is worth it here. You're paying for the best quality & experience here.

I am so glad I came here for my labret piercing (and eventually medusa)! I refer any family/friends to yall.

I really feel like Kyle & Abi go above and beyond with the entire piercing experience from the moment you sign the waiver, to the moment you check out. This was hands down THE BEST piercing experience, and I’m no stranger to the body art world. I had been researching places around the area to get piercings for my teenage daughter, and myself, when I came across Sushi Balloon. Having been impressed with things I saw online, I decided to book an appointment.

We were greeted immediately by Kyle, who made us feel sincerely welcome. He talked with us about the piercings we wanted, what kind of jewelry options we would have, as well as what to expect afterwards. He is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and definitely takes pride in his custom jewelry and establishment; which is a relaxed, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Yuyu was our piercer, and was absolutely incredible with talking us through the entire process as they were doing it. They were meticulous with making sure the piercings were placed perfectly, for aesthetics, and proper healing. They were able to keep my daughter in a calm headspace, and made sure she felt comfortable and safe while getting her septum pierced. They also checked to see if my old nostril piercing was still open, so I could avoid having to re-pierce it, which it was! I also had my flat pierced on my ear, and I am IN LOVE.

While the cost was on the higher end, you get what you pay for. You won’t find the cheap surgical steel “initial” jewelry that you can’t wait to change out; or the body piercer that just gets you in and out, and treats everyone as if they have the same anatomy. You’ll find high end, gorgeous jewelry, that can be placed that day; and artists that are meticulous, educated, and passionate about what they do.
