Steve Ambriz Memorial Park is a peaceful and somewhat hidden gem tucked away in a quiet area near a residential housing tract. I recently visited the park to walk my dog, and I was pleasantly surprised by how calm and tranquil the entire experience was. The walking trails are particularly nice—quiet, clean, and stretching alongside the Santa Ana River, providing a relaxing environment for both pets and people. It’s a great place to unwind and escape from the noise of daily life.
The park features a small playground and a couple of well-maintained softball fields. While it’s not a large park, it’s well laid out and offers plenty of open green space for casual strolls or sitting on the grass. It’s also dog-friendly, which is a major plus for pet owners like me.
One drawback is the nearby cement facility that borders the back of the park. Depending on the time of day, the sound and activity from that site can interrupt the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking for complete silence or seclusion.
Overall, Steve Ambriz Memorial Park is a great local spot for a quiet walk, light recreation, or just to enjoy some time outdoors. It feels somewhat like a secret place due to its tucked-away location, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a low-key, relaxing...
Read moreThis park was always very nice, and I would give it 4★★★★ if they still had hot water in the restrooms. They had really nice no touch faucets, with water that would get warm (after enough people used it) eventually, recently these faucets have been replaced with the typical push down faucets that are ice cold and are frequently found in public schools or parks that are not as nice. The toilet seats also appear to have been downgraded to old scratched and stained ones. Nice things I can say about this park: • there is usually plenty of parking both in the lot and on the street • restrooms are always clean and stocked with toilet paper seat covers and soap • there is a changing table (in women's restroom) • lots of seating (although it's not shaded) • not too crowded • park is always clean • people at this park are friendly • convenient location just off Lincoln,...
Read moreNice park I visit everyday for physical maintenance. But now I somehow got a lung infection due to this Park always being blanketed in CHEMICALS from the Cemex Cement plant right next door to us & our children playing. There is a constant plume of CHEMICAL SMOKE/VAPOR over us as we are using the public park. My belongings are covered in CHEMICAL Soot/HAZARDOUS Grime. How much longer are we gona allow this Cemex Cement company to continue DAMAGING our HEALTH & PROPERTY every single day?? This is coming from someone who’s worked in chemical plants & biomanufacturing & lived in Orange for decades. Believe me when I say that SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE CHEMICAL PLANT SOON!!! MY PASSIONATE CONCERN GOES OUT TO ANYONE THAT VISITS THIS...
