Orem Skate Park — Attraction in Orem

I think your experience here is dependent on a couple of things - how old you are, what you're going for, and how crowded it is.

If you're a little kid going to have a little fun, you'll probably have fun but be a little intimidated by all the big kids doing big tricks and all the people everywhere.

If you're a big kids going to shred like Tony Hawk, you'll probably get annoyed with all the little kids puttering around on their scooters and all the people everywhere.

So, if you go with that understanding, and are willing to dodge little or big) kids, this place is awesome. The bathrooms are closed probably because of too much drug use. There's graffiti on them. The water to the drinking fountain is shut off. I wish it was a bit nicer and worked a little better for everyone, but I think it just comes with the territory of being one of very few good skate parks...

Nice medium depth skatepark. There are some transitions that are not for beginners, but expert level bowls you will not find here. Further North 8 minutes in Lehi you can find a 9+ foot deep oval bowel. For this park, there is enough hips and benches for bmx street riding, but skaters might not have as much designed for them, mainly I saw the skaters working a rail and step up for street tactics. Directly South of the park is the fire department so I'm guessing if you get hurt, an ambulance is not far to find. Crime in the area is low, but as with most skateparks, keep an eye on your youngins or they might pick up some habits not to your liking. There is a claim that there are bike days and skate days, but locals told me it isn't like that anymore. So, just don't be a jerk and take your turn, and you...

Skaters have no respect for the community or neighborhood. They play loud music and make rude loud comments to each other late at night and into the early morning. And if you ask them to keep it down they get louder. And itlf you call the police on them they retaliate and vandalize property. The police BTW only come out when they feel like it and don't care that the neighbors with kids or people with jobs need need sleep. I think that the city really doesn't like to serve our community. And the kids and adults that are up making noise and saying foul and crude things that our children hear late at night is disgusting at best. I hope that someone who cares and has power to stop the sickness in our community...
