Ok so I have absolutely fell in love with this park. It has amazing wildlife and I love going here to try and catch a look at the gators. The neighborhood does suck, but the trail around the park is very safe for the average Joe. If you are there during summer, BRING LOTS OF SUNSCREEN. You might see some of the local talent blasting their rap music, but I just keep my head down and avoid them at all costs. Amazing wildlife and I recommend going on the grass trails on west side by Obama Dr. Alligators, armadillos, every bird imaginable, coyotes, bobcats, and turtles can all be found here. Read moreVisited from out of town while making this spot a meeting point and taking the opportunity to walk the loop. Perfect trail whether you are on foot, biking, or out with the stroller. Beautiful picture taking opportunities along the paved trail. Restrooms by the baseball fields were well maintained and in clean condition. The only thing that would make this place even better would be a bit more canopy for a shadier walk. So if you are on the skin sensitive side and it is a bright sunny day, bring sunscreen! Read moreWhat a hidden gem this City of Orlando park is! It is free to enter and park. Right away you see the baseball field and it has clean well stocked bathrooms. Here at this park you will also find a cool geocache spot. There is a paved walking/biking trail that encircles the surprisingly beautiful and undeveloped Lake Fran. It was cold and blustery today, but we observed Sandhill Cranes, Anhinga, Egrets, and Vultures. I for one, am so happy this little slice of wetlands exists.
