Simple park design. A 20m (65ft) canal runs from the the parking lot all the way to the lake, and is flanked on each side by large grassy areas with benches for people to relax at. A medium sized pavilion sits near the the entrance of the dock area, furnished with picnic tables and overlooks a children's playground. Very beautiful.
The canal is usually filled with panfish, most commonly bluegill, redear and red breast sunfish. Bass beds can be found the length of the canal during spawn season, but only juveniles loiter outside of the spawn.
A bridge crossed from one side to the other and is of a moderate height. The railings makes fishing from the bridge difficult, but it offers a good vantage point to scout out where the fish are. The mouth of the canal is very grassy, and hard to fish in, and this grassy patch extends all the way out to the dock on the parking lot side of the park. The other dock, I haven't gone out to as of now so its status is unknown. One of the docks has something that resembles a feeder.
Near the parking lot, there is something that appears to be a boat ramp, but I did not go over to confirm this.
The reason that I am giving this a three star review is because this park is littered with trash. There is trash everywhere from the parking lot all the way out to the mouth of the river. WARNING: Do NOT leave valuables in the vehicle. Some of the good folks who visit the park have made it known that there are thieves...

Read moreThis lake and park showed a lot of good potential until I walked out on the fishing pier and saw all of the trash strewn around in the water then as I walked up to the pavilion and sat down to take in the view I spent 5 minutes picking up trash off the ground and placing it in the garage can right there. I don't know who's responsible for the cleaning up except for the users who should be first in charge of their own trash and we wouldn't be having...
