Our experience here was interesting…and not in a good way. First, upon arrival, the parking lot was full before the park officially opened and there was no one directing traffic. It would have been prudent to have signage that made clear the parking lot was full. This was especially a problem because people were allowed to park their cars blocking traffic for both directions, meaning you had to fight to get out upon entering.
Second, there was no one at the counter when they supposedly opened. Upon check in, the staff did not explain any part of the experience for an all day pass. No rules were reviewed. No directions for the amenities were given. It was a fend for yourself situation.
The water park course itself needs a proper cleaning. There is black colored mold on the surface of every part of the course. Some parts were not properly inflated. The lake does have a lot of foliage in it, which seemed to gross out a lot of guests around us. While that is understandable for a lake, I think it looking as dirty as it did was strange. For $110 for two people, I would expect a cleaner environment. You can spend the same or slightly more at any water park in Orlando and have a cleaner experience. Overall, the water park was fun, but you will need to get out every 45 minutes per the instructions of the lifeguard. I understand why they do this for those that purchased hour long passes, but for those purchasing all day passes it was silly.
Last but not least, this day was the same day as an Evangelist Christian Market, which was not made clear during the booking process. There was no way to enjoy the venue without being subjected to this display of religion. Think blasting worship music and yelling for god by various names throughout the entire afternoon. The business owner would benefit from letting patrons know about extremist events on their property. It might be a better idea to make the park ticketed only for those consenting to religious engagements. Neither me nor my fellow patrons felt welcome, on top of poor customer service. If we wanted a church experience, we would go to a church, but mixing water parks and church doesn’t seem like a pleasant experience for those who don’t subscribe to these beliefs.
It was a different experience, but I won’t recommend it to anyone. I wish I could, but transparency in the booking process could have made it this experience more enjoyable. I recommend updating the booking system to include information about the planned events for each day that someone purchases a ticket. I go to plenty of venues around Orlando, and have never had such an issue before, but this was a lesson...
Read moreThis is an updated review! We had such a fantastic experience at Nona Adventure Park! We started with the Learn to Wake lesson, and I can’t recommend it enough!! Raph was an incredible instructor—so patient, encouraging, and great at explaining the technique in a way that was easy to understand, especially for beginners like us. He made us feel comfortable right away and gave each of us individual attention to help us succeed. His calm and supportive teaching style really set the tone for an awesome first day on the water.
After our lesson, we were hooked! We decided to buy the membership, and I really appreciate how flexible it is—no extra fees if we decide to pause or cancel. That kind of freedom makes it so much easier to commit.
Both of my sons absolutely love it here. My 15-year-old wants to wakeboard every single day, and my 10-year-old is obsessed with kneeboarding and paddleboarding. They also have a blast at the aqua park, which is basically a floating playground and perfect for burning off energy.
As a parent, I’m just so happy to have found a place where we can spend time together, outdoors, being active, and making memories. It’s such a relief to see my boys off their screens and instead doing something physical, fun, and confidence-building. We’re looking forward to many more days at Nona Adventure Park!
Even more bonuses—there’s a sweet little beach area that’s perfect for my 4-year-old, plus a bouncy house on weekends and a fun playground that keeps him entertained. The pizza is housemade, and the crust and sauce are genuinely delicious—you can tell it’s not your typical concession stand food. We also love the variety of food vendors that rotate through the park, offering something new each time we visit. It truly feels like there’s something for everyone here.
Thank you NAP for improving...
Read moreI took my 12yr old son for the first time to try the wakeboarding and kneeboarding. My kids ( 8yr and 12yr) have always enjoyed the “Aqua Park” but my older son wanted to try the “Cable Park”. We kneeboarded around the cables which was pretty intense and a bit much for him. (I’m a 40yr old out of shape mom and did fine on the kneeboard cable track). After an hour he was definitely not enjoying the corners so I asked if we could do something easier. They let us join Kyle’s lessons on wakeboarding. He was by far the nicest, most helpful, kid friendly staff I’ve ever experienced at nona adventure park. I was so impressed by the way he interacted and taught both kids and adults it inspired me to write this review. He really focuses on what you’re doing from your footwork to the position of your arms and helps you fine tune your positioning to be able to stand up on the board and glide across the water. I was VERY intimidated by wakeboarding esp as an older mom. I was able to do it my first try thanks to Kyles instructions! My son took a couple tries and felt defeated but Kyle kept encouraging and praising him and then he got it and was soooo happy! He absolutely loved it. What makes or breaks an initial new experience is often the coach or instructor leading the sport. This instructor is phenomenal and soooo kind and encouraging...
