Foodoko — Restaurant in Orlando

Foodoko operates out of the VA cafeteria and has generally had good options but they don't listen to consumers. They don't make enough plant based options (veggie rolls) they insist on putting mayo on top of veggie rolls, which could just be a side, they also always put shrimp in their inari pockets which eliminates another plant based option. They've been notified of this multiple times and they still ignore the many hospital and healthcare workers that are vegetarian/vegan for religious or spiritual reasons. Recently they've gotten stingy with their ramen options. The original owner/operator was kind, if you got ramen which is supposed to come with 'five toppings' they never specified which toppings you could select, now out of the blue they are saying that you can only have two servings of tofu as a topping (a serving is about 5 small cubes, maybe a tenth of a block of tofu, and probably worth about 25 cents). So they're charging 11 dollars for a bowl of miso soup ramen essentially and refuse to give the tofu toppings. There is nothing on their label or their signage that says they can only have 2 of any given topping. Also, for anybody who might think I'm unreasonable, it's chilly in the hospital to work here for a ten hour shift, I actually just said sans the noodles and let me get broth with tofu today and some veggies, but they refused to give me all five toppings where tofu is listed as a topping (despite having not taken noodles lol). This place is an incredible experience to be enjoyed and it gets better with just a little time and friendliness.

I've eaten there so many times, very often weekly, until recently. From day one of their debut at the VA I've been treated like family and had nothing but the best food.

Over the last several months I haven't been there as often due to personal health but when I finally was able to stop by 3 weeks ago I was immediately welcomed by name and she knew what I wanted, Fuji Mountain Roll! Seeing the 2 of them made my day! They made my day tops.

The food! It's just always super fresh and made with precision. The Sushi Burrito threatens to take over 1st from Fuji Mountain and don't forget the tasty Ramen station. It's made from ingredients you choose and still fast service. You won't swing & miss at whatever you choose! A real home run. Besides, I learned I love seaweed salad by their recommendation.

The food was great. We got a Lyft to travel 30 minutes for Sushi Burritos. Google doesn't specify that it's located inside the VA... the website does. We had a horrible encounter with VA staff, Charles A. Smith. He's over the cafe area. Foodoko is located inside of the cafe, hence my reason for mentioning Charles.
