I have experienced repeated neglect and stress at this office due to constant billing mistakes. Every time I tried to make appointments, I was told different amounts I supposedly owed. One person told me I had to pay $500 upfront (which was wrong). Another told me I had to pay for my son’s birth because “insurance didn’t cover it” — only to find out they were running my old, terminated insurance card that I haven’t used in over six months. I’ve had active insurance on file the entire time, yet they repeatedly used outdated information.
I don’t mind paying real bills when they’re due, but I will not pay for errors or miscommunication on their end. At one point, someone even admitted the amount they were about to charge me was “another person’s balance.” With my uncommon first and last name, that excuse made no sense — just another cover-up for a mistake.
Because of all these errors, I’ve had to miss important appointments and deal with unnecessary stress. When I came in recently, I needed my pregnancy accommodation paperwork filled out and to schedule my next appointment until I switch providers. Instead, Keisha from billing refused to give me the paperwork or schedule anything, claiming my care was “in cancellation.” That made no sense, as no transfer paperwork had been sent to any other provider. Despite denying me care, she still made me fill out a billing form for monthly payments.
This was the final straw. I am still technically an existing patient, but once I switch providers, I will never return. The negligence, unprofessionalism, and lack of compassion here are...
Read moreWow, I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Womens Care Florida. If Pamela is working the front desk, from the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and are checked in quickly. Once you are called back, Permelia gets you laughing and calm because let’s be real, going to any kind of doctor can be a little nerve wracking. P puts you at ease and answers any questions you may have before seeing Dr. Johnson. After taking your vitals and asking the standard questions, Dr. Johnson comes to start your appointment. Now let me say, I have been going to Womens Care Florida since I was a sophomore in highschool (I’m now 27) and I refuse to go to anyone other than Dr. Johnson. Her support and gentle touch is unmatched. When I first started at WCF I was with another doctor who I thought was the queen of all doctors. She moved and I was terrified I wouldn’t have the same experience with another person, but then Dr. Johnson came. From the first day she was honest and kind. I have received my fair share of bad news in the last 4 years and every single time she has made me feel like she will do everything she can to help. She is so compassionate and let’s you know all your options short and long term. Even with all the bad news and tears I’ve had, Pamela, Permelia and Dr. Johnson have me leaving with a smile and the first thing I always tell my fiancé is how much I love them. If you’re looking for a doctor that is knowledgeable, gentle, and compassionate check out Dr. Johnson and her wonderful staff at Womens...
Read moreSCAM: I am particularly disappointed with my appointment at the clinic. I didn't necessarily intend to write a review, but the reception and the individuals at the front desk were very cold and abrupt. The consultation with the nurse was great; she was very kind and competent. However, with the gynecologist, it was slightly different, and I didn't feel very comfortable. That's not necessarily the point. My appointment was in September 2023, and I paid the fees on the same day. My insurance provided reimbursement directly to the clinic and informed me that I didn't have to pay upfront, contrary to what the front desk staff told me. SO they get paid twice. I am currently fighting to get my money back, which I have been requesting for several months now, and nobody seems to have control over it, or I don't get any response at all. If you have money to...
