Oxford beach is very pretty but more like a sunny spot you can wear a bathing suit vs a real "beach". The GPS takes you to a little park with picnic tables in front of the bay water. If you keep going down that road and turn right you will see the beach area complete with an outhouse and a small sandy spot to perch and play in the sand. There are a lot of jellyfish in the water, I got in the water for 5 min and was stung several times. There are some trees which provide good shade. I laid out and read a book, which was very relaxing, but there were lots of small ants and spiders. They don't bite but are rather annoying. I would go back as I love the water and I love laying out and reading.

Cute little park in Oxford but it’s not a beach. After staying in St Michael’s and looking for a beach that isn’t 2 hours away, Oxford beach park is the 1st one that comes up. Unfortunately the sand/water access is a 7ft by 5ft amount of water front and the rest is covered in high grass. I repeat, this is not a beach! You can’t believe all you see on the internet. With that said, it’s a very cute park for little kids under 7 to run around, picnic or sit on some swings. Oxford as a town seems closed Monday through Thursday, so this park and the creamery are the only things to do.

This is the perfect place for a book and a breeze with a beautiful, relaxing feel on the water. There is a small sandy access to the water that I would like to have used if I planned ahead. The town it is in is cute, active (I saw many bikes and people walking with smiles), and friendly. The speed limit is 25 and it seems like the an antidote to any stress you bring in with you. When you are done relaxing there is more to enjoy with a creamery across the road.

In the middle of January, it's very cold but if you catch the weather just right it's a very fun place and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous! Prefect time for photos or just sitting and catching up with your thoughts or talking with whoever your with. While visiting Oxford in the summer time , make sure you stop by and check out The Treasure Chest. She has worked very hard to get her store into a bigger building and she has done a fantastic job. My family goes there every chance we get. Great...
