Oxford beach is very pretty but more like a sunny spot you can wear a bathing suit vs a real "beach". The GPS takes you to a little park with picnic tables in front of the bay water. If you keep going down that road and turn right you will see the beach area complete with an outhouse and a small sandy spot to perch and play in the sand. There are a lot of jellyfish in the water, I got in the water for 5 min and was stung several times. There are some trees which provide good shade. I laid out and read a book, which was very relaxing, but there were lots of small ants and spiders. They don't bite but are rather annoying. Read moreCute little park in Oxford but it’s not a beach. After staying in St Michael’s and looking for a beach that isn’t 2 hours away, Oxford beach park is the 1st one that comes up. Unfortunately the sand/water access is a 7ft by 5ft amount of water front and the rest is covered in high grass. I repeat, this is not a beach! You can’t believe all you see on the internet. Prefect time for photos or just sitting and catching up with your thoughts or talking with whoever your with.
