Best mountain bike trail in Brevard County and among the top trails in the state. The trail runs in a loop along the canal with lots of elevation change from dirt that was piled during construction of the canal many years ago. the Brevard Mountain Bike Association (BMBA) actively maintains the trails and frequently adds new features. The surface is mostly dirt and really flows between sections. There are many drops and jumps, both tabletops and gaps for beginners and advanced riders. Only a few rocky climbs. It's a great place to break out your hardtail. Oak trees and jungle provide a nice shade for most of the trail. And of course there are orange and grapefruit trees, hence the name. Read moreApart from have a decent trail next door, I do not appreciate the fact that there are quite a few selfish riders (whom do not own the trail) who decide to hoard the trails for themselves rather than allowing ALL riders to enjoy the trails. I say “rider” when coming through but they must be either deaf, dumb or both because you can easily hear me from the top of six pack. My suggestion is to promote an INCLUSIVE park and community rather than a greedy “all for me” park....
Read moreThis trail is very intense, me and my family didn't make it all the way through the trail because we didnt expected to be as physical as it was but we did enjoy the experience. If you're going to do this trail make sure you come prepared with a good solid mountain bike because there are alot of tree roots and hills you will be encountering and the most important thing of all Bug and Mosquito repellent!! I can't tell you how bombarded we were by mosquitoes it...
