To Anyone Considering Employment at This Bealls Store: I worked at this Bealls location for a little over three months, and it didnât take long to recognize serious internal issues that affected morale and productivity. The most noticeable problem was the complete lack of communicationâbetween supervisors, between the store manager and the team, and even among employees. Instead of working as a unit, the environment was filled with tension and behind-the-back conversations. A store meeting was held during my time there, but it felt more like a venting session than a constructive conversation. Issues remained unresolved, and in some cases, worsened. The store manager, Liz, often handled conflicts with yelling and outbursts in the office. This behavior led to fear and discomfort among staff, especially the cashiers, many of whom avoided addressing scheduling issues directly with her. Instead, theyâd come to me or another supervisor for helpâjust to avoid being yelled at. In hindsight, I now see warning signs from the interview process. Negative comments about previous supervisors should have raised red flags. If you apply and are hired, there's a chance the same will be said about me, despite the positive feedback I received while working there. Unfortunately, raising concerns to higher-ups proved ineffective, as the store manager appeared to have a close relationship with regional leadership, which left us without support. This is not a healthy work environment. Employees deserve leadership that supports them, communicates clearly, and creates a safe, respectful workplace. Sadly, that was not my experience here. I came in for my shift as scheduled, only to be let go shortly after, making the two-week notice I submitted completely disregarded. Iâm sharing this to help others make informed decisions. To whoever takes over my positionâI genuinely wish you the best. But know that change wonât happen here unless it starts at the top. Sincerely, A...
Read moreJan the manager is trash. I spoke to her, told her me and my family were all going to get our nails done(hands and feet) right next door. And I would be back after to try on before buying as to not return anything. Wasting my gas and time. She told me they would be there for me when I came back. They close at 930pm tonight. I arrived originally around 6pm. I returned around 7:30pm. Gone for an hour an a half. Getting my nails done. I came right back and she told me she put all the stuff away 10 minutes prior. She didn't offer to help collect the stuff. Instead she offered apologizlies. While smiling. I felt ridiculed. Unprofessional. Just so she could toy with hangers and hide behind clothes. I still spent money here. Almost 90 dollars. But I probably won't be back again.
It was already difficult to find 3 different peoples sizes and then I had to run around trying to collect all the things again.
Wasting my time. The disrespect. What? Cuz I'm a young hispanic female? I am a woman of my word. This was racist, agist, and sexist.
Zach was a cashier. He was good. Doing his job. The right way. Best part of...
Read moreWorking here was great until the new manager took over. She has absolutely no respect for her team members. She will talk down to them every chance she gets. She picks favorites and allows the associates to curse and be disrespectful to the supervisors. When it is brought to her attention she will yell at the supervisor and say they deserved to be talked to that way. She is an absolute nightmare and has caused multiple long time associates and supervisors to quit due to lack or respect and proper management. Attempted to take my concerns about her treatment to the District manager and was basically told she was being how she was because we were not accepting of her as the new manager. Although multiple people made complaints about the way they were treated we were all told to be nice to her and take this as a learning experience. After talking with the District manager the store manager...
