Bad customer service.I had a bad experience with one of the managers. I have done customer service training, and he achieved a questionable victory, it is known as winning the battle and losing the customer for life. I returned sealed unused product that was in perfect condition and actually not very expensive. I did not have a receipt because my Dad had bought it, and he died. It was however product currently sold, that was made by Staples, so there was no question that it was their product. The manager told me that at some point, that product had been sold as two for one, buy one, get one free, so I thought, fair enough, I'll return it at half price. He then proceeded to tell me he had to get my information to process the return. He kept me there for a long time while he took down my driving license, name, address, phone number etc, and put all the information in his computer. After all that he told me that he had to assume that two had been paid for, and that these were the two free ones, therefore the refund was zero. I have never heard such a crock. I was given incorrect information by a customer service rep who apparently was training and didn’t know procedure (I’m not holding her responsible,) while another customer service rep was on the telephone and the manager was standing a few feet away at a cash register with no customers. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was told that I could not send 2 cards and a small box containing jewelry to an address in California. I could have stayed and send it usps at this store, but decided to leave to go to post office after the store manager was rude and dismissive. I called FedEx office who said my package could have been sent via fed ex with the address I had. If the store has a FedEx shipping site, shouldn’t the staff know the policies? And worse than that, why be rude and dismissive? I will not return and would not recommend this store to anybody else who wants efficiency and kind...

He was very honest and very helpful, very knowledgeable and very thorough in his assistance. Thanks to Eric, we ended up getting a printer very similar to what we have now, an inkjet and not a laser, and we were able to go down the road and buy it for $10 cheaper than BJ's. I think Eric knew we might be doing that and still did not hesitate in assisting us with all of our questions and concerns. Eric expressed some limitations to Laser Printers that I bet most people aren't aware of and may keep them from buying a laser printer.
