So on July 4th as a usually traditional we have of spending it here every year we showed up with our family, set up, started up the grill and the park trooper came to us asking if we were from there. I said no and he proceeded to say we had to pack up and leave because only people from that county are only to use that park. Which I found it very ridiculous that we can use a state or city park. I would think it’s open for the public. There was no signs upon arrival warning us as well. If you are planning to make that drive DO NOT! this is not open to the public but only for whoever lives in that county. I do not recommend this place after the inconvenience...

An amazing place to bring the whole family to! Enjoy lots of shade, areas to cook, a Creek to swim or fish in, and a walking path that takes you quite a distance either direction.

However, take note that only Palmer or Forks Township residents will be allowed to enter during weekend hours due to a lot of New Yorkers and so forth leaving their garbage everywhere last year and thinking it was an amusement park.

Besides that, five stars for almost every person you will see there will greet you and tell you to have...

This park contains a parking area, pavilions, and is near Bushkill Creek. For outdoor gatherings and picnics To host a gathering at the pavilions, you must maintain a township permit. Yet, there is plenty of grass and open space where you can stop for a brief, private picnic with a partner or a family. There may be a time limit on when this park is open and closed; however, it does have a gate. Nonetheless, as a whole, it's a lovely neighbourhood...

Bushkill Creek Park is lovely; however, it sometimes becomes overrun by visitors who appear to be from other states. They appear to deface the location. Leave the park in better condition than you found it if you visit. Do not leave 200 pounds of food and cooking equipment behind after you are finished. Cleaning up

2024: This was our first time at this creekside park. There are several ways open to access the creekside and some nice shoals and sand bars to wade out into. In the 90° heat the 60° water felt very nice. It is safe to wade barefoot, just be careful of the mossy slippery stones. 😀
