So on July 4th as a usually traditional we have of spending it here every year we showed up with our family, set up, started up the grill and the park trooper came to us asking if we were from there. I said no and he proceeded to say we had to pack up and leave because only people from that county are only to use that park. Which I found it very ridiculous that we can use a state or city park. I would think it’s open for the public. There was no signs upon arrival warning us as well. If you are planning to make that drive DO NOT! this is not open to the public but only for whoever lives in that county. I do not recommend this place after the inconvenience...
Read moreAn amazing place to bring the whole family to! Enjoy lots of shade, areas to cook, a Creek to swim or fish in, and a walking path that takes you quite a distance either direction.
However, take note that only Palmer or Forks Township residents will be allowed to enter during weekend hours due to a lot of New Yorkers and so forth leaving their garbage everywhere last year and thinking it was an amusement park.
