Really wanted to enjoy this place, as a family friend’s daughter had above-average reviews for her prom corsage. However, after our horrible experience I would not recommend this florist for major occasions such as a wedding or funeral. A very long story short, we booked our appointment to have our flowers chosen and paid for in full on the same day, VERY in advance because we lived several hours out of town and wanted to give plenty of time for the florist to do what she had to in time for the wedding. Walked into the appointment and flowers/leaves were ALL over the shop floor. We said "Hello" and asked how the man at the counter was doing, as he didn’t greet us. He informed us the delivery car was M.I.A., holiday and funeral arrangements had yet to be fulfilled for that day, and so fourth. We politely asked if this was a bad time. Him and Brandi said yes and frantically shoo'ed us out the door. Brandi strongly suggested we return back to the store later in the evening, depending on Brandi’s situation. Please keep in mind we lived many, many hours away, and this appointment was reserved several months in advance. We had many appointments this day and explained our situation in full to her over the phone. She seemed collected and very friendly until we actually arrived for the appointment. Things DO happen, but Brandi did not handle the situation with professionalism in the least bit. She followed the abrupt conversation with poorly written text messages asking (yet again) if we would be returning to the shop later that night. Again, we understand situations happen...but owners should not treat customers who pay in full/cash for a large wedding poorly, nor should they pass comments such as "Well YOU booked this appointment so, like, you'll have to come back tonight anyway, right?" ...followed up with other childish, unnecessarily feisty remarks. Needless to say a large profit was taken to a different location. From the moment we walked in it was chaos. Please beware. ALWAYS incredible experiences with Flower Essence! 10-15 years ago, I came across Flower Essence and I have not gone anywhere else since! Every Valentine's Day my wife wants TULIPS (her preference over roses). And every year, I have been fortunate enough to work with Kristi who (works during busy seasons and) makes INCREDIBLE & custom tulip arrangements for me in one of the many beautiful & unique vases at the shop! I WILL NOT go anywhere else due to the GORGEOUS flower arrangements created by Kristi & because of the exemplary customer service I ALWAYS receive at Flower Essence! (And do not worry, the arrangements I see leaving the shop which are crafted by others at Flower Essence are STUNNING, as well!) Best of all, I never feel "pressure" to spend more than I would like for the flower arrangement. So I live in New York and my cousin who is also my bestfriend lives in Pennsylvania. I wanted to send her flowers today (Valentine’s day) not only because it was Valentine’s Day but because her birthday is in two days. I thought of the idea at around 3pm. I started looking for flower shops near her and came across this flower shop. I really wanted them to get to her today (same day delivery) because she’s leaving early tomorrow to come and see me and spend her birthday with me but I wanted to also do a nice surprise for her and this was it (which is why I really wanted her to get them today). I told them I understood if they couldn’t with such short notice and they told me they would try but if not they would get them to her by 10am tomorrow. They ended being able to do it today!!!
