Magical Bridge Playground at Palo Alto's Mitchell Park is a spot that my family and I have come to adore. My kids absolutely love this place, and after the recent renovation project, it's even more remarkable.
The renovations focused on improving maintenance and safety, and it's evident in the upgrades made. The new rubberized surfacing and synthetic turf replacement not only look great but also provide a safer environment for kids to play. It's comforting to see that the park's well-being has been taken into account.
The playhouse, which has always been a hit with my kids, got a facelift with re-staining and new railing. It retains its charm and is a favorite spot for imaginative play.
The net spinner, a thrilling attraction for the little ones, got an upgrade too. It's nice to know that they've maintained the fun factor. And the addition of a shade structure over the spin zone is a relief on sunny days.
What makes Magical Bridge Playground truly special is its commitment to inclusivity. The park is designed so that children of all abilities can play together. As a parent, this is something I greatly appreciate, as it fosters a sense of unity and acceptance among the kids.
The miscellaneous painting and planting improvements have given the park a fresh look, and the vibrant colors and greenery add to its appeal.
As a parent, it's heartwarming to see my kids so excited every time we visit Magical Bridge Playground. It's a place where they can let their imaginations run wild, climb, swing, and just be kids. I'm grateful to have such a wonderful and inclusive place in our community.
Magical Bridge Playground has become a favorite spot for my family, and I'm sure it's the same for many others. If you're in Palo Alto with kids, it's definitely worth a visit I give it a wholehearted...
Read moreWhat an awesome place to take your kids! The only con I have for this place is the material the playground equipment is made of. The day we went it was in the high 80s. Most of the equipment that kids sit on was made of metal so my 20 month old son couldn't get on most of the rides - it was too hot and would've burned him. I noticed many of the kids had cardboard pieces to go down the slide. I assume so they could go faster but also to protect their little booties from being burned by the hot slides. My son had a blast. I'd recommend bringing snacks and water for your child(ren). There were water fountains to refill any bottles you brought with you. There were benches and other seating for parents to watch their kids and mingle with each other. I'd definitely take my...
Read moreAlways a fun place to take my daughter too. Lots of activities. Impossible to get bored.
You can take your own cardboard for the slides or find one there. Lots of different types of climbing and sliding opportunities. Fun swings, dedicated section for smaller kids, benches for parents to sit. The only issue is restrooms. You have to exit the magical bridge to go to the park restrooms and there are only 2 of them. The playground is within a huge park (including a dedicated dog park). If kids get bored of the bridge, they can find something else to do there. Parking is usually full but somehow you always find a spot so don’t get discouraged. Overall, one of our favorite parks and a very good playdate playground for the kids. Highly...
