The cashier lady was racist and rude to our family after we purchased tickets for the Amish buggy ride. Our family is Asian American and traveled over 5 hours to see the Amish. It was Sunday, and we learned that the Amish were not available to speak with, but that the ride would be 30 minutes instead of the usual 25 minutes. One child in our family is severely autistic and another has a learning disability but is overdeveloped in body. The cashier lady came and said that the children look like adults which is far from the truth. They are just tall. One is 10, the other is 11, and another is 14. The cashier lady said that the 14 year-old has to pay adult price. We paid the extra amount, but we were not made aware that children over 12 were considered adults by this facility. The cashier lady called out one family member from the buggy cart and yelled at her saying that we knew that the children over 12 were considered adults, which is so disgusting, disrespectful, and distasteful. That family member was wrongly embarrassed in front of family and strangers and our whole trip became sour and somber. The cashier lady was racist towards our family and made baseless assumptions and accusations. That is NOT the way customers should be treated. In addition, the host/the buggy rider, who is supposed to be a guide did not talk at all throughout ride and did not provide any information regarding Amish life. The ride was a rip-off as it barely lasted 15 minutes and did not take passengers to Amish backroads. It was literally a short ride in the same direction that our family drove from. Nothing unique and could have been done solo by walking or driving for free. This was definitely not the authentic and amicable Amish experience we...

A charming quaint tour by buggy ride to a an Amish farm. Buggy ride is only abt 10 minutes both ways to and from the farm. We did the 45 minute option. At the farm there was a gift shop with homemade amish provisions and crafts. Also..there was a stand that sells homeade bottled lemonade and fresh cheeses. The Amish lady at the stand was very sweet and kind. There was a lovely petting zoo before the ride and a barn at the farm where kids can pet horses, miniature horses. Be careful the mini horses can nip you. My daughter got bit but was a small pinch. They were very attentive and gave her a band aid (even though she didnt need one 🤣) and gave her some chocolate for free. Theres a cool small horse bug ride kids can take for 6 bucks up a dirt trail to a mill and back thats driven by a sweet little amish girl. Was nice family time well spent. You you can go to the barn without the bug ride or even after by car which is only.up the road from the ride pickup location. I suggest the bug ride..the driver was awesome and kid friendly. We went back after the ride to explore around some more. Definitely worth...

Horrible service! Total waste of money and time!! My relatives came from another country to visit and they had a 8 YO and a 2 YO boy with them.

The trip lasted a measly 15 minutes. They charged the full fare for each one of us including the 2 YO! They crammed us in the back of the buggy ride. The tour "guide" spoke only with the 3 passengers sitting next to him the ENTIRE TIME! The buggy didn't have any speakers or anything so if he actually said ANYTHING AT ALL that was worthwhile, we wouldn't know.

We travelled on asphalt all the time. We saw cars parked in modern houses and had to given way for other drivers driving their cars on the road throughout the trip! The trip was so short that you could actually see the starting point from the end point!! If we knew beforehand how misleading this "Amish buggy ride" was, we'd have saved ourselves some money and dignity and driven the entire course in our car!!

Please don't waste your money here. A for...

A is for Amish Buggy Rides was the perfect ending to our family of seven road trip before heading back home to NY. Even our dog (a big lab) was able to fit in the “buggy” and rode up front with our incredible guide, David. David was kind, knowledgeable, and taught us a whole lot about the Amish lifestyle, having been born Amish himself. We felt such a personal bond to him by the end of our 35 minute ride. At the end of our ride, our toddler even got to wash down Hazel, our beautiful horse-power queen. Thank you for your outstanding and welcoming service!

Loved the tour. Wish it could have been longer. The tour guide was beyond friendly and gave us a lot of historical information and local details about the area. You stop at an Amish store along the way where you can purchase fresh baked goods and fresh made lemonade, root beer and apple cider. And the prices were cheap! There's also a petting zoo! Had a great time!
