The bathrooms were literally the most vile place I have ever been in my LIFE. It's Florida and a BILLION degrees outside....it's a park that is by standard a regular park.... fields, playground, skate ramps....kids will play just the same. As a soccer mom, I tend to judge parks by cleanliness of bathrooms and grounds (ok and concession but that's not a tally the park so I can't technically review it or hold them accountable😉😁) ....this place, let's just say I threw my shoes away after walking in the ladies room (I almost didn't know it WAS a ladies room as a man went in right in front of me, I had to stop and double take at the sign....not even that huge of a deal but maybe the men's room was closed or it's the only bathroom) Anyhow, almost 2 years into a Covid world, you would think people would have this cleanliness thing down....nope. There was NO trash cans in the bathroom by the sinks or in the stalls....forcing ladies to leave their lady sanitary products on the freaking SINK and on the floor!! NO soap, pi$$ and $hit mess all over the floor on clogged in the toilets....Ive seen wild animal cages kept cleaner....it's SO hot out....so the SMELL....I get it....people tend to be disgusting....this park had skate ramps and bike ramps, so lots of teens....still NO EXCUSE....I saw park employees chilling on golf carts....it's a gross job but it NEEDS to be done. Thankfully I don't have little ones any longer, any poor mama that, God forbid, has to brave that bathroom with a toddler...in general shameful, the fact that it's BOCA,...
Read moreThis is a large 54 acre sports park located in Boca Raton off of Palmetto Park Rd. Park amenities include a 7 station, half mile exercise course, playground, picnic pavilion, 4 open fields for team sports like football and soccer, 3 basketball courts, and a nature trail. There is also a skate park operated by Drop in Action Sports which is separate from the parks and recreation department. Drop In was crested in 2013 to create a place for teens who enjoy skate boarding, BMX. roller hockey, and in line skating a place to do their sports. They offer beginners classes and rent equipment if you don't have your own. Helmets are required to participate. You don't really see too many skate parks around anymore. A lot of towns have gotten rid of them for insurance reasons so it's nice to see that one still exists at this park.
The park is open from sunrise until sunset with lighted court facilities open until 9:00 pm and lighted athletic fields open until 10:00 pm. Don't sit inside at home. The weather is finally beautiful in Florida and this park is a great place to get active and have some fun. It's time to enjoy our...
Read moreInside of Loggers' Run park is a skatepark called Drop In Skate park. It is a place where family and community are brought together as one. Cindy runs this place with a firm, tough, loving hand watching out for each child as her own. It shows in the kids that go there. In this environment young and old take care if each other, helping, cheering and assisting each other on to be a better person than they were before they came here. There is never a put down or fight- Cindy would never allow that- you will see other's reaching out to offer a helping hand, word of advice, shown a different way to improve their skill. We are so lucky to have a place like this in our community and I am forever grateful to have Cindy willing to watch over and...
