I do not typically do reviews, but as a recent bride, I definitely would love to help other brides make these tough calls about vendors. I know reading vendor reviews was helpful for me! So here goes- the good and the bad!
The Bad: Of all of my vendors, I think we struggled the most with the florist. In their defense, I did not come in for a face-to-face consultation-- initially! They offered very limited hours in which I could do a face-to-face, and as a teacher, it wasn't working for my schedule. I scheduled one on a random day off, but ended up being sick that day. So fast-forward, we wanted blush pink roses to match our color scheme (ivory, blush pink, and gold). The quote the florist gave us said "blush pink" but the flowers he slated for our wedding ended up being a lavender-pink (faith roses). So we talked about other options, and were told we get see them in person if we drove out to Pataskala. So we made the long drive from our hometown to see the blush pink garden roses, and were only able to see them in the mini/spray rose form. We were shown white garden roses instead. My fiance and I were pretty frustrated at this point, but what can you do! They did come in pink, but weren't in stock. We went with them anyway, sight-unseen, hoping for better luck than the first roses. We were given a discount on the flowers (see below) ultimately due to the difficult process getting to this point. On the day of the wedding, the flowers looked nice, but nearly all of the hydrangeas were brown across our 11 centerpieces, and 5 bouquets. Many roses were bruised and on the verge of death. The ribbons on the corsages did not match the rest of the ribbons on bouquets and bouteineires (were supposed to be ivory). Communication also was spotty throughout the process. A lot of times, we would call with a question to be told that Russ was out of the office all week. Sometimes emails were answered quickly but sometimes emails were answered a week or two later--- it was spotty. The pricing was kind of wacky as well, quotes had to be fixed a couple times due to errors like one quote leaving off the price of bouteineires. The price was too high for the centerpieces on another quote that was later sent out and we had to ask for that to be fixed, too. All of our flowers were dead one day after the wedding. My bouquet died before I could figure out how to preserve it (I am no flower guru). We gave away the 11 centerpieces and everyone said theirs have died, too (it's now just 3 days after the wedding as I write this). No care instructions were provided.
The good: The flowers were beautiful while they lasted, minus a lot of brown spots that I believe they did try to fix. I was told they were sending someone out to try to trim the brown spots and I'm sure they did- I did not see them as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle- but they still had a lot of brown spots so it wasn't a perfect fix. We also did get the bigger roses for the price of the ones that were cheaper but not the right color (I think it was a 2 dollar difference per rose, so that was nice).
I would not recommend the florist per se..... brides have enough to worry about it. But I did love the flowers and they made for beautiful...
Read moreYes I called spoke with lady named Debbie she assured me my order would be delivered by 6 PM same day service the order never showed I called back she was very rude had no sympathy for the situation whatsoever. I would never recommend this service to anyone let alone use this service again, oh and I was informed that if the owner issues a refund it would take up to 10 days, are you serious, do not use this service! Update: per our exhausting conversation to which we went back and forth, if you think you done a good enough job then, it's your business. But your reputation and word of mouth goes far, you are not professional at all, once I cancelled the order, you have no right to contact anyone on my behalf, whether you tried to remedy the situation or not, you had that chance when I poured out my heart to you and your staff letting you know how disappointed I was about how my order was handled. Not to mention you told me I already refunded you your money, and you didn't know what else you should or could do to make this better. I also advised you that I was a business owner and I'm in the delivery business and if the customer has to tell you what to do to remedy your bad service, that's not good customer service! If anyone decides to use your service after they read this, they must be desperate or just plain foolish. And lastly, multiple times you are replacing orders, refunding purchases is not a good practice for business and it doesn't make it right, just get the order correct in...
Read moreUPDATE BELOW I loved the flower arrangement that was sent to me. However, upon arrival the flowers were already partially dead. I called the store to see if a replacement was possible. They agreed and explained that they would call me back with a time they could have them ready. They were extremely busy so I was understanding and offered to come to them to pick them up. I was told they would call back but they never did. I tried to call later and was on hold without talking to anyone. The flower arrangement sent was somewhat pricey so I just expected a little more than what was given. I am frustrated at the situation and the way it was handled, though I understand the busy season. All in all, the flowers would have been absolutely stunning if they weren't dying upon arrival.
EDIT: Russ called me and apologized that he was not made aware of the situation when it happened. I now have a new and fresh arrangement that I am beyond happy with, it is beautiful. Thank you for reaching out and making my experience exceptional! Customer service goes a long way and I am so...
