The Depot Street Pub and Grub — Restaurant in Pataskala

We were so excited to see this establishment come to life in Pataskala, but first impressions are key and unfortunately, ours wasn’t good. The atmosphere is nice and it’s a great location. There is plenty of parking and it’s easy to access. We walked in and asked to place a takeout order. We were told they didn’t prefer orders to go, but we could still place one. We did and were told about 20 minutes for our order to be prepared. We waited within sight of the server who helped us so they didn’t have to track us down for the order even though it was not busy. After about 35 minutes, we had to inquire about it. It had been ready, but no one had signaled that it was or gave it to us. The food was okay at best. The traditional wings were okay, at best. They were hot but soft; no crispiness. The sauce was fine. $10.99 for 5 wings, they’d better be good.

When ordering (online) it didn’t leave an option for how we wanted the burgers prepared. The flavor of the burgers were good. They were just cooked well done.

The “fresh cut fries” were unseasoned and flimsy. The onion petals were meh.

Overall, I have to give this place’s food a 1.5 out of 5. It just wasn’t any better than mediocre and it was expensive. Two burgers, a side for each and 5 wings was $40.

Foods great. Tried to place a takeout order and the phone connection was not good, so I called back after they called me back and the person who answered was very rude. I said “I’m sorry the phones must be spotty” and he said “welp I don’t know if I can trust you to place an order considering you’ve called 5 times and won’t say anything to me” so I let him know again that when he called me back and said hello there was no sound, and he got so mad and said “well let me get to the computer” while huffing and puffing.
