Porters Coffee House and Bakery — Restaurant in Pataskala

Cute shop decorated for the holidays. Nice atmosphere for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet cuppa. Service was great and the baristas were friendly and helpful in a genuine way you don't usually find in chain shops. I asked for a recommendation and got the Local Canadian hot latte with oatmilk. Locally sourced maple syrup and house-made cinnamon flavoring. Absolutely amazing! Smooth, hand-pressed espresso married with locally sourced maple syrup and a sweet cinnamon spice syrup made in-house. Served HOT but not at all burnt (with a poured design on top!) The milk was steamed smoothly with a perfect foam cap. As someone who worked in coffee shops for years and understands how much quality of ingredients and barista skill matter, I have zero complaints. And highly recommend! There is also a beautiful selection of eats- pastries, cakes and breakfast sandwiches. Small convenient parking lot, and most cars were in the drive-thru. Just left there with no drink and already paid in cash. I ordered my latte drink then drove up and paid for it. When she gave it to me it was iced. I never ordered iced. I told her I would try it. I didn't like it and she could tell when I tasted it. She said you wanted hot and I said yes. So she took it back and I said sorry I didn't like it. She said be back in minute. I thought she was making me a hot one. A minute later a different woman comes up and says she's the manager. I said OK. Is she making me a hot one and she said I didn't correct her when she repeated order back. I said she didn't say iced. And I asked her if they recorded it. She said there was 3 people on headsets that said she said iced. I was shocked that I was even having this conversation. I said what does it even matter. Lovely coffee shop, so many baked goods available but as someone with celiac disease, I was a little limited to just coffee. However everyone I’ve brought with me has LOVED the baked goods and the sandwiches.

The coffee is fantastic, smooth, not too sweet, just lovely. I think my favorites are Locak Canadian latte and Islander latte I also have enjoyed the vanilla bean and caramel nut. Their smoothies are also fantastic. I suggest the cherry berry, it’s amazing.

They are a nut free facility so if you have peanut or tree nut allergies, this is your place!

Cozy inside and just all around a nice place to be in. It is small inside which I’ve heard some people note.
