Spiritus Arcanum — Attraction in Peabody

Absolutely delightful shop filled with high quality wares. Out of all the shops I visited in the area during my short trip, by far Spiritus Arcanum was the most well-informed and respectful about herbal knowledge and spiritual practices. There's a variety of apothecary ingredients, tools, crystals, house-made oils and tinctures, and delightful books available for anyone practicing herbalism, ritual, or just looking for some interesting items or reading material for their home. I was in the Salem area for a college field trip, and we visited Matthew's shop and had the privelege of participating in a workshop with him. Another VERY overdue, but much-deserved review. I met Matthew and his team last year at the Night Faire in Salem, and finally got a chance to visit the store in Peabody this past autumn. What a wonderful, eclectic, unique collection they have, and what an interesting building! I had a really lovely time browsing the store and chatting with Matthew, a noticeably dedicated, hard-working, and sincere business owner (and as a fellow business owner - I really appreciate finding people like Matthew!). It can be difficult to find stores that are "within alignment" - this is by no means a tourist trap. It really is one-of-a-kind.

This shop is beautiful! They have an amazing selection of crystals, oils, candles, herbs, books, altar pieces, magick tools, amazing incense blends and ritual oils that the owner makes and much more as well! This shop is a must if you’re coming to visit Salem. It is right next door to Salem in Peabody and is away from all the traffic so it’s convenient and easy to get to. I’ve been to all the shops in Salem and still found a lot of unique items in this shop.
